The sound of the sink running in the kitchen was a soothing sound to Aaliyah Cohen, her mind scattered in a millions different places, that and she didn't have to do the washing up, something she was grateful for. The brunette woman was sat in the living room, the sun having set hours earlier as she sat in silence, hologram pad in her lap as she moved through the thousand possibilities of time travel.

Aaliyah didn't even register the tap turning off and the sound of her fiance's footsteps getting further away, she was too busy reading, thinking if they can do it, Emma and everyone else can return home.

Aaliyah hadn't actually discussed anything with Tony yet, she was afraid to. They both knew that they had far too much to lose if they went down the road of time travel, how it might not work, how the world could become even more screwed up then it was, but Aaliyah also knew they had to. They had to try, for everything that was lose because they lost. Aaliyah needed to try, for Steve, Natasha and anyone who's lost their loved ones in the snap.

A knock on the wall managed to catch Aaliyah's attention as she put the pad down, turning to see 14 year old Abigail standing in the doorframe. Aaliyah smiled lightly, turning completely to look at her daughter.

"I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be asleep right now, it's late."

"Same with the twins, but dad just put Sammie and Sam back to bed," Abigail replied, looking at her mother. "Can you come put me to bed?"

"Isn't 14 a little old for that?" Aaliyah questioned before she saw the look of fear in her eldest daughter's eyes. "Come on."

A small smile crossed Abigail's face as she took her mom's hand, all but dragging her up the stairs toward her bedroom, Aaliyah smiled at her apparently look alike daughter, people always said that, it confused Aaliyah to no end she and Abigail couldn't see how they looked alike.

Aaliyah spared a glance into Isabella's room, shutting the door quietly, when she saw that the young girl was sleeping, glancing into the twins bedroom she saw the two were asleep in there peaceful in their bunk beds as 14 year old ran off to her own room, for the first time in four years Abigail had her parents all to herself and she was going to savour that just in case.

Abigail Stark wasn't stupid, far from it, she was smart, she knew both of her parents wanted to pull the time travel shit off, but she'd been eavesdropping the whole time earlier that same day, and hearing her mother mention how they might not come back scared her.

Carefully creaking open the bedroom door, Abigail had already tucked herself into bed, laying on her side as looking off toward her window that looked out on the lake. Aaliyah smiled as she placed herself next to her, stroking her hair softly as they sat together in silence.

"Do you miss them?" Abigail asked after some silence.

How Aaliyah wished to lie, but Abigail would be able to tell, she was always able to tell. Abigail wasn't a little girl anymore, she was far more advanced than anyone her age, there was no doubt that Abigail Stark and her siblings when they were ready, would be going to MIT.
