Two months, that is how long it had been since the events of Siberia, two months since Tony Stark had last spoken to Aaliyah Cohen, two months since Rhodey's injury, two months since Steve's team was broken out of the raft, two months since Scott and Clint were placed under house arrest.
Emma Diament pulled up outside the Compound and opened the door using her keycard that Tony had given to her, Abigail was already at school, Tony was god knows where and Aaliyah who was four months pregnant was sitting in the kitchen drinking something.
"You look exhausted." Emma comments sitting down across from her cousin.
"Because I am," Aaliyah sighed, she glanced her cousin before looking down at the kitchen bench. "How are you?"
"Great, I bought an apartment in Brooklyn, Steve visits me every night." said Emma.
"Uh-huh. Well, at least one of us has a stable relationship." Aaliyah comments dryly.
"And I'm a week late." Emma said, causing Aaliyah to look up.
"Seriously?"
"Yeah." Emma nodded.
"Aaliyah!" Happy yelled walking down the hall.
"What?!" Aaliyah yelled back as Happy walked into the kitchen.
"Can you talk to the kid?" Happy asked, not giving Aaliyah a chance to say yes or no, he just shoved his phone into Aaliyah's hand and walked off.
"Okay," said Aaliyah glaring at Happy from behind, she placed the phone against her ear. "Peter Parker, how have you annoyed Happy this time?"
"I didn't do anything." Peter weakly tries to defend himself on the other line.
"Peter." said Aaliyah warningly.
"Alright, I asked him several times to see if Mr Stark wanted my help again."
"Look kid, you did good in Germany, Tony's proud of you for that but this superhero gig isn't for a sixteen year old, you can't force yourself to grow up too quickly, keep being the friendly neighbourhood Spiderman." Aaliyah said before giving Peter a chance to argue she hung up.
"So how come you're living here? I thought you and Tony weren't talking." said Emma.
"Abby, I'm here because Tony wanted to see Abby and I wasn't going to let him in Dad's house. We don't actually talk, he mostly talks to Abby rather than me." Aaliyah said.
"Why else?" Emma asked.
"Ross is after me. Tony didn't want Abby to not have her mother so he placed me here, pretty much under house arrest, that's what he told Ross, that I was placed under house arrest but without the anklet, it just means that I won't go out anywhere." said Aaliyah.
