"Do you know which was you're going to wear tonight, Mr. Stark?" Natalie asked walking in, Tony shut the holographic display and buttoned his shirt up to hide the arc reactor and rash on his neck.
"I'll-" Tony cut himself off when he saw his favourite watch sitting on his bedside table, it wasn't an expensive watch, and that's what made it special because Aaliyah bought it for him when they were both teenagers, the amount of times, Adam had to replace that glass was impeccable.
"I have my watch for tonight, but thanks." said Tony.
Natalie smiled and then started covering up his scars and bruises, his mind was off somewhere.
"Something going on in that head of yours, Mr. Stark?"
"Yeah...can I ask you a question, hypothetically?" Natalie gave him a small nod. "Bit odd. If this was your last birthday party you were ever gonna have, how would you celebrate it?"
Natalie thought for a moment before a smile came onto her lips, "For me if it was my last birthday, I'd probably drag my best friend to Budapest or do whatever I wanted to do with whoever I wanted to do it with" she answered, and stood up, turning to leave.
"But don't go on any extravagant trips, maybe start by telling Ms. Cohen you're in love with her, that's what I did with my best friend." said Natalie.
Natalie left Tony to mull over what she said, before realisation kicked in, she had a best friend that she was in love with, he wanted to ask her what happened but she'd already gone.

Aaliyah was in baby Abby's room, sitting talking to the young baby in her arms, when she saw Tony out the corner of her eye, she turned her head and looked at him, she smiled, and he smiled in return.
"Come on in then." Aaliyah said. Tony knew better than to argue with Aaliyah because she always won, that woman had inherited her parents stubbornness.
"Where's Emma?" Tony asked, "I told her to get coffee. She'll only be here when-well, you know we're off saving the world." said Aaliyah, she handed Abby to Tony, who looked uncomfortable, Aaliyah laughed.
"You'll figure it out." she said, after a few moments Tony did feel more comfortable with baby Abby in his arms.
"When's she turning one?" Tony asked.
"September 12th." said Aaliyah.
"And it's May 29th, now so that's not for another four months." said Tony.
Emma, who returned with the coffee had to make a witty comment. "Look at the little family of superheroes and geniuses." she said.
"Abby's barely even one, she's not a genius, just yet." Aaliyah reminds her, Emma smirked "I'm not so sure about that, here let me show you." said Emma, she put her coffee down into Aaliyah's hands as Tony was still holding Abby.
