"Get up, Kate!" Kol sang out, throwing a pillow at me. "Get out, Kol." I mumbled back. "Can't do that. Elijah sent me up here to get you up for school?" My eyes shot open and I sat up in bed. "School? I don't go to bloody school." I sassed back, growing more irritated by the minute. "Take that up with Elijah. Breakfast is waiting when you're ready." He laughed out, leaving my room. What the hell have I gotten myself into?
Let's pretend there's no dress code 😉
After showering, getting dressed and doing my hair, I had finally made my way into the kitchen. Everyone was down there, sitting around the table as I made my plate. "Not a chance in hell. Go change." Kol barked, pointing back upstairs. "I get no say in whether I go to school, y'all get no say on my outfit." I sassed back, digging into my breakfast. "I think you look cute, Abs!" Avery chimed in, smiling at me. Klaus and Elijah both sent her a glare, on which she just rolled her eyes and went back to her plate.
After very few words spoken at breakfast, Klaus and Elijah directing none of them towards me, we finally left for school. It had been at least a decade or 2 since I had been in school, nobody really saw the point. We've been around for most of not all of history, I spoke 5 languages so there was no need for any English class, anything after that was useless seeing as my family had enough money, I would never have to work a day in my life.
To my surprise, Elijah didn't make sure I had every class with Rebekah, so I guess it wasn't a total stripping of my freedom. Walking into first period, I was one of the last ones to arrive, spotting a few open seats but opting for the one beside Stefan in the back of class. Elena was on the other side of him, Caroline in front of her and Bonnie in front of Stefan.
"Hey Glad to see you're still alive." Stefan smiled. I looked over to see the whole group looking at me. "Could say the same about most of you. Hi, I'm Abbie." I extended my hand out to the one person I didn't know in the group. "Hey, I'm Bonnie." I nod, going back to getting my book and notebook out.
"So are you in town for good?" Stefan asked, as the teacher walked in. "I am till my brothers take me off lockdown." I laughed, flipping to the page the teacher wrote on the board. I had first period math, English for second, history for 3rd and chemistry being my last class. Hopefully the day wouldn't drag on as long as this lesson. Saved from my own death by boredom when my phone buzzed in my lap.
