Damon

After we got to Bonnie's and Abbie came over to put up an original proof barrier, we all settled in for the night. The girls had gone upstairs to calm Elena down, leaving me and Stefan downstairs to talk.

"So Abbie helped us save Elena tonight. Do you think Klaus will dagger her for it?" Stefan asked, putting away the last of the dishes from dinner. "She went up against her brother to save Elena.. we both know he has no problem with daggering his family." I propped up against the counter, as the guilt ate away at me. She risked everything to save someone she hadn't even met, barely even knew her name.. how can we just stand back and not try to save her from her brother.

"Don't do that." Stefan spoke, making me look over at him. "Do what?" I asked. He let out a sigh as he turned around, leaning next to the sink. "I can hear you grinding your teeth from here. What are you mad about?"

"She helped us save Elena, knowing what Klaus would do to her. So now that Elena's safe.. we're just supposed to look the other way while he puts her in a coffin, planning the next Elena heist?!" He folded his arms over his chest, furrowing his eyebrows at me. "Are you saying we should go save her and what? Make an alliance with her?" I didn't know how to respond. When he said it, it sounded crazy.. but how was he okay with just sitting here and not helping her?!

"You realize alone, him and Elijah would've ripped us to shreds. If we go over there now and she's already daggered, what do you think will happen then?" Yet again I still had no answer. Why was I being irrational over all this? He was right.. but she still doesn't deserve to be punished for protecting Elena.

I shook myself out of my thoughts, walking over to the table to grab my jacket and keys. "I'm going out for some air." I said, slipping on my jacket, leaving the kitchen. "You're going over there, aren't you?" Stefan yelled through the house. "Yep." I called back before shutting the door.
