Abbie
I refuse to hide away in my room like a scared little child. I have no doubt Elijah is watching my every move around Hayley now. I wouldn't touch her while she's pregnant, but the second she has the baby, nothing will stop me. She has the nerve to act like she knows why Avery left. She thinks Elijah will be enough to protect her. I would hope my brother would know his own limits.
I'm not really sure what brought me out to this part of the bayou. I've sworn off the bayou. I can't bring myself to go back after Zeke. Yet, here I am, dodging fallen branches and trying not to gag from the stagnant waters. God, when will I learn I'm not a backwoods type girl.
I see a cabin in the distance, no others around. Definitely not creepy at all. I make my way towards it, listening for anything that could be calling out to me or some sign of a trap. Wouldn't surprise me if Klaus came up with some elaborate plan to kill me. I stop, focusing my sense on the house. I can hear a fire crackling and the smell of smoke. Focusing more on the inside, I hear someone struggling and the sound of someone pacing.
"You don't have to do this, Tyler!" My eyes snap open as I look around. There's no way I just heard Hayley's voice. Tyler? What are the chances it's the same Tyler from Mystic Falls? He and Klaus didn't have the best relationship, but he wouldn't be stupid enough to do this. Would he? I vamp down to the house, deciding the element of surprise is best. If this really is Tyler, I'm not sure how deep his hatred for Klaus goes and I don't need to spook him too soon.
Just as my hand reaches for the knob, the hairs stand up on the back of my neck and before I can turn around, I'm slammed into the side of the house. I grunt out from the force, trying to wiggle out of it, but the person holding me is strong. Not strong enough, but I don't want to give myself away yet. He probably saw me vamp out here, but he doesn't know who or what I am.
He keeps me pinned to the building, as he swings the door open. "I caught her outside. She's a vampire." He calls inside, before jerking me into the doorway. I watch as Hayley's body relaxes, making Tyler turn around. His eyes widen as the guy pushes me in further, shoving me across the room. "What did you do?!" Tyler yells, looking at the guy. He doesn't notice, because he's too busy staring n at me.
"He's talking to you, big guy." I pop my hip, crossing my arms. His brows furrow, then looks at Tyler. "I caught her lurking around outside. We don't need people knowing about this!" He argues back. My interest peaked at this point. "Explain." I glance over at Hayley, noticing her hands cuffed to an old fireplace. I look back at Tyler, flashing my vamp eyes at him. "Quickly!" I grit out, growing angrier by the second.
"She's an original, Dwayne." Tyler ignores me, directing his attention to Dwayne. Dwayne looks at me, his whole body tensing. "S-she can't be. I know all the originals." I laugh, but it's humorless. "Let me guess. You thought Avery Harris was the other sister?" I cock my head, waiting for his answer. He quickly nods. I roll my eyes over to Tyler. "I see you're not the only idiot." I stand up straighter, tired of waiting for answers.
"Why is she cuffed to a fireplace?" Tyler narrows his eyes at me and I'm actually curious to see if he's dumber than I thought. "She's pregnant with Klaus' baby." I roll my eyes, huffing. "I know. Can you get to the part that has to do with her being tied up?" He puts his hands on his hips, glancing down at her. "I'm testing a theory." I cock up an eyebrow, waiting for him to continue. When he doesn't, I step closer.
"Don't test my patience, Lockwood. My patience no longer exists since I last saw you. So I would get to the point. Quickly!" I reiterate. "He thinks Klaus can use the baby to sire hybrids." I look at Hayley, my brows pinching together as I think about his theory. The baby would be a werewolf. Hayley and Klaus both are, but would it allow him to sire hybrids?
