Another animal attack victim?🙄Derek
Just come to my place when you get off.Abbie
As always, lovely talking to you Derek."She's coming by after work." I lock my phone, pocketing it. I don't like the thought of Abbie coming here and not know how she plays into all of this, but we've been in the dark long enough.
For the last four months, we've done nothing but try to figure out why she doesn't seem to bat an eye to the unusual amount of animal attacks here in town.
Scott keeps trying to make the argument that most people in this town don't question it, but most of those people aren't doctors and treating them. She looks at us like she knows something but doesn't say it. She doesn't even question that one of us is always there when she enters the hospital room.
Something about her is so infuriating and intriguing. It's driving me crazy. We hooked up one time and I could sense something about her. It wasn't necessarily that she was a werewolf but it was something. Something she has yet to give us any clue to what it is.
"I still don't think she knows about any of this. She's been working with my mom for months and she hasn't seen anything to think she's a werewolf. I think we would've noticed by now."
"Has anyone seen her during a full moon or something covered in fur that looks like her?" Stiles interjects. I seriously don't know why he's here. His name isn't on this list and he'd be the first killed if he went up against any of the people we've seen.
Well, we haven't seen them, but we've seen their work. As much as I despise Stiles, I'd hate for him to get hurt or worse, killed. Even though sometimes I think about doing it myself.
That's another thing, Abbie has gotten close to everyone in this room. All of us but Peter, and I can't blame her. She must have pretty good instincts.
"What do we know about her? How am I the only one who hasn't met her?" Peter walks over from his spot on the stairs, joining us around the table. "Probably because she's not into psychopaths?" Lydia tilts her head with a smile. Peter returns a sarcastic one, before turning to me.
"You said her name was Abbie Kate?" I nod my head, sliding him her picture that Melissa took from her hospital file. "There's no way she's a werewolf. Nobody has seen her turn and she definitely doesn't have the anger issues." Scott argues again.
"Literally every interaction she's had with Derek has been hostile." Stiles points at me, before shrugging. "I can't blame her though, I mean look at him." I glare at him, as he motions to me again. He looks over at me and his smile drops.
"If she wasn't a werewolf, then she wouldn't be on this list." I shove my finger to the paper with her name right below Scott's. "She's something and we need to figure out what it is." Scott's eyes meet mine.
"I agree, but I think ambushing her isn't the way to do it. She hasn't done anything wrong. She works with my mom, comes to our games and doesn't change on the full moon."
"What does she do?" Malia leans up from the window, walking to the table. "She works at the hospital. During every single one of them, she's been with my mom and never once went missing or struggled with control. She's not one of us." He declares.
