Tarini steps out of the Sisodia Mansion, only to find Aviraj standing by his car, scrolling through his phone while tapping his foot impatiently on the floor.

'This man is bipolar,' she thinks, observing his behavior.

He had excused himself from the dining table half an hour ago, barely touching his food, citing a pressing meeting. Yet, here he was, still lingering.

She low-key laughs after mentally imitating his flaunting words about how his time was worth millions.

"Didn't you say you had an important meeting? What happened then?" She voices out her question, shifting his attention towards her.

Aviraj turns to face her, releasing a deep breath as he pockets his phone.

"Actually, I received an important call, and then I remembered a file I left in the hall," he replies, his expression returning to its usual stoic mask.

Tarini eyes him skeptically, unsure of why he feels the need to lie to her. When Mr. Aviraj 'the punctual' Sisodia barely speaks more than a few words to people outside his family, it seems implausible that he spent thirty minutes on a call.

Moreover, it wouldn't take him this long to retrieve a file from the hall. He seems to be waiting for something... or someone.

But why would he deceive her about this? How does it matter to her, anyway? Yet, Tarini's mind wanders. Was the person on the call that important?

Before she can delve deeper into her thoughts, Aviraj's voice interrupts her.

"Sorry, what did you say?" she asks, realizing she was lost.

"I was saying you can come with me. I'll drop you on the way," he offers, and she has no reason to decline. She nods in agreement, and for a fleeting moment, she thinks she's seen a hint of a smile on his lips. For her? Or she was being delusional?

As he opens the passenger door for her, she finds herself wondering if he was waiting for her. However, before she can explore further with her not-so hopeless scenario, a staff member appears with the file, handing it to Aviraj before departing. So, it seems he was indeed waiting for the file.

Shortly, they drive away from the mansion, an uncomfortable silence settling between them. None of them was trying to initiate a conversation.

Tarini had nothing to say to him, or perhaps she has too much to discuss, but her heart wasn't ready for the confrontation.

Eight months had passed since their wedding, and their relationship has been a rollercoaster ride. So much has transformed in such a short period, things had changed between them from good to bad to eventually worse.

And now? Tarini was unsure of the direction their relationship is heading. Her gaze travels out the window, and she wonders if everything would have been different if that fateful day hadn't occurred. Maybe they would have had more to explore, more to discover about each other.
