The silent surroundings suffocates Shirina, her gaze fixed at Rudra and Riya standing in her way. Her namesake siblings—whose presence seems to suck the air out of the room. She doesn't miss the daggers her Riya was throwing with her eyes, the reason for which was unknown to her.
"Won't you greet your old friend, Abhyudit?" Rudra's voice cuts through the tension, and they move towards them.
Shirina glances at Abhyudit, observing his transformed demeanor. The smirk on her brother's face doesn't go unnoticed by her, making her wonder if they were associates.
"Do you want me to greet you like the old times? You must have missed that special treatment from me," Abhyudit states, raising an eyebrow, which was met with a flicker of anger on Rudra's face.
"I see you are still the same. Brat," Rudra spits, attempting to provoke him.
Abhyudit glares at him, his face stoic. Ignoring his comment, he says, "If you are done, get out of my way. I am here for business, not to waste my time on you."
Meanwhile, The two girls observe the exchange, one with confusion and the other with amusement. It was clear to Shirina they didn't have a cordial relationship. They were rivals vying for the same contract.
"What are you doing with this man, Shirina?" Rudra asks harshly, acknowledging his sister's presence with the person he hated the most.
"Minding your tone while talking with my employee would be wise, Mehrotra," Abhyudit's intervenes firmly, and Shirina stays quiet, letting him shut down Rudra's condescending tone.
She wonders if he knew they were related, but then it strikes her-definitely, he did. If not previously, then now he did surely.
An employee of Marwaha's, interrupts them. "The meeting is going to start, sir. Please make your presence known there."
Abhyudit turns to Shirna, signaling her to move ahead. The gentleman-like gesture makes her feel a flutter in her chest, but she chose to ignore it. She steps forward, unfazed by the betrayed expression Rudra carried. It was something least of her concern.

The meeting lasts a few hours, with four parties presenting their proposals. The construction contract for seven-star hotels across different states was a lucrative deal. However, the tension between Abhyudit and Rudra was palpable.
It finally ends with the hosts announcing another meeting followed by discussions and final decision.
Exiting the conference hall, Shirina searches for Abhyudit, who had disappeared after excusing himself. Her steps halt when someone blocks her way.
"I'm impressed by your talent for temptation, little sister. You have him wrapped around your finger." Riya's hand comes together in a slow, deliberate applause, rendering Shirina confused. She was sure of what she heard, but couldn't grasp the intention behind her words.
