The grand ceremony at Sisodia Mansion was in full swing. The setting was regal, and the ambience was alive with the scent of flowers, gentle murmur of voices, and melodic tinkling of crystal.
Aviraj and Tarini were standing alongside each other, nodding at the familiar and unfamiliar faces as they passed.
A tall, dark-haired man walks towards them, a beautiful woman tagging beside him. Aviraj's attention shifts to them, a brief smile spreads across his face, and he welcomes them.
Turning towards Tarini, he introduces them to her, "Tarini, he's Yuvaan, a friend and a business associate of mine."
Yuvaan's eyes lights up, and he extends his hand towards Tarini, interrupting Aviraj teasingly, "And I already know about Bhabhi."
Tarini smiles softly, and shakes her hand with him, greeting him. She had heard about him from Aviraj earlier, but she was meeting him in person for the first time.
"Someone needs to introduce me as well," the woman beside Yuvaan chirps, drawing their focus on her.
"This is Ritika, my fiancée," Yuvaan introduces the girl, whose eyes sparkle, and she extends her hand to Tarini. She adds herself with enthusiasm, "I'm also Aviraj's friend. We studied in same college, although he and Yuvaan were a year ahead of me."
"It's nice to meet both of you," Tarini mutters politely, ignoring the emphasis laid by the girl on her first sentence.
"My pleasure to finally meet you Bhabhi. But I won't leave without knowing from you how you captured this akadu...Aviraj's heart?" Yuvaan reframes his statement, noticing Aviraj's glare directed at him.
As they engage in conversation, Tarini listens with interest, laughing at Yuvaan's jokes and occasionally contributing to the talk.
However, a wave of uneasiness washes over when Ritika mentions, "I always imagined Aviraj would end up with someone more like him—someone in his field, with the same drive and ambition. I guess it's surprising to see how different you both are."
Tarini's composure doesn't falter, her smile remaining gracious, though a tinge of assertiveness creeps into her voice. "I can't agree more. Sometimes two very different people can still find a way, even if it’s not what others envisioned. We didn’t marry for the reasons most people think of, but we are making it work."
Aviraj's eyes meets Tarini's, his gaze warm with appreciation. His hand reflexively travels to rest on her waist, his touch possessive yet comforting.
"But you are right. Tarini and I do come from different worlds," he says to Ritika, his tone laced with confidence, "and that's what makes her more special. She has brought a new dimension to my life, and made me realize that there's more to life than just ambition and drive. I consider myself fortunate that she's my wife."
Tarini's feels caught off guard by his unexpected statement, a surge of pride coursing through her.
Yuvaan looks between the couple with admiration, while Ritika forces out a polite laugh. "Of course, you both make a lovely pair."
