Vedika sat on the side of the bed, her hands gripping the bedsheet. She twists the soft fabric in her fingers, her mind consumed by trouble.

Last night, Devanshi had overheard her parents conversation. She was upset and irked about her mother's refusal, and it had led to an argument between them. Vedika had scolded her in the heat of the moment, and Devanshi had stormed off to her room.

Vedika had planned to talk to her the next day, giving her some time to cool down. But this morning, when she went to check on her, she was greeted by silence.

There was no message for her, and the hotel staff had told her that she had left early. Devanshi's phone was switched off, and at her office, they said she hadn't shown up today.

Standing across the room, Abhyudit watches his mother, studying her disquiet state. He steps towards her, gently keeping his hand on her shoulder to end her trance. "Aashi will be okay, Mumma. Don't worry, we will find her soon."

Vedika's eyes drifts to him, and she slightly nods before returning her gaze to the floor, swept away by helplessness. She could do nothing but hold herself responsible for Devanshi's disappearance, the weight of her absence bearing down on her.

Her conscience was unforgiving, gnawing at her with blame. If only she hadn't scolded her, dealt with her differently, and understood her, she would have been here with her. Not out there alone in a place that wasn't familiar to her.

Sidharth enters the room at the same time, and Abhyudit moves to him, asking, "Is there any lead on her?"

"I have got security teams checking the area around the hotel. They will track her movements, see if they can find a clue where she might have gone." Sidharth's face shows a mix of concern for his daughter's safety and a watchful attentiveness toward Vedika.

His gaze lingers on her, sitting motionless on the bed with her sight fixed ahead. He knew she was on edge, yet her unresponsiveness causes his chest to tighten.

"Go and coordinate with the team. Make sure they locate her fast," he adds, to which Abhyudit nods, making his way out to follow his instructions.

Sidharth doesn't step away, however, seeming to stay rooted there beside his wife. While Vedika was aware of his presence—the wordless assurance—she doesn't react to it. In the stillness of the room, the shadow of their collective distress looms, binding them together again in the silence that spoke volumes.

[Jivika's Letter]

̶D̶̶e̶̶a̶̶r Aayansh,

I haven't made a lot of efforts to speak to you in person about what I'm writing in this letter. I did try though, but every time I came in front of you and thought of saying it... I just couldn't do it.

Then I thought to find another way, and now here I'm, feeling like I'm conducting an experiment.

Alright, it's an experiment. But if I muster up the courage to give you this letter, you better be alert for what's coming! It has answers you have been wanting, and the things you have a right to know.
