Aviraj was waiting for Tarini in their room when she emerges from the bathroom. She seems to acknowledge his presence, but her expression remains guarded.

She walks towards the bed, plugging her phone into the charger, aware of his quiet footsteps behind her. With a swift motion, she lets her hair cascade down her back, removing the clip that held it in place.

Aviraj extends his hand, and their eyes meet briefly as she places the accessory in his palm with a tired sigh.

"Tarini." He attempts to break the silence, calling out her name, however, she moves away, her actions dismissive.

Undeterred, he follows her again, his hand reaching out to grasp her wrist.

"Kya hai?" Tarini turns to face him, trying to free herself from his hold.

(What?)

"Itni naraazgi, biwi?" His question in response was laced with a teasing undertone.

(You are this upset, Mrs. Sisodia?)

"Aur iss naraazgi ki wajah kon hai?" Her gaze drifts away, her free hand tucking stray hair strands behind her ear.

(And who's the reason for this?)

The evening events flash back in Aviraj's head, and he replies, "That random friend of yours!"

The words leaves his lips without a second thought, but he regrets them immediately, seeing the offense etched on his wife's face.

"Where did he come from between us? And what's even your problem with him?" she asks, exasperated.

"What would I have a problem with him?" he asks, getting defensive.

"Then I must be the one who suddenly became indifferent and passed a snide comment out of blue?" Tarini retorts, her voice sharp.

Aviraj knew what she was reminding him, but he comes to his own support. "It was you who was ignoring me."

He was aware that his reaction earlier had been impulsive, driven by display of dislike towards someone he had just met. And who was merely a friend to her. But seeing her laughing and close to someone who wasn't him had cracked his composure. It was irrational, but he couldn't help himself at that time.

"Do you even know you don't make any sense? How is it possible that I was ignoring you, and I'm not aware of that?" Tarini shoots back, her frustration palpable at his illogical thought.

"Think about it, and excuse me, please." She turns to leave, and Aviraj's eyes follows her as walks out of the room.

Tarini was sitting alone in the hall, engrossed in a magzine, when he again appears beside her. He holds out a cup, and her attention shifts to him, her eyes narrowed in intrigue.
