Kaylee pov
I went to homeroom and I sat next to Zach.
Zach: you okay?
Kaylee: yeah I'm fine
Miss Walker: Kaylee Mr James wants to see you
Kaylee: I'm not going
Miss Walker: Kaylee
Kaylee: no
Miss Walker: let's make good decisions here
Kaylee: he can fuck off
Zach held my hand
Zach: come on let's go outside
We walked outside and were walking around.
Zach: what's going on?
Kaylee: I don't know how to explain it
Zach: try
Kaylee: it's just my mind is always racing and when I'm being told what to do it just makes me feel so angry. I don't know what to do anymore
Zach: why don't we just go and see Mr James?
Kaylee: no all he's gonna say is how bad my behaviour is like I don't already know
Zach: but he might not
Kaylee: can you stop going on?
Zach: I'm only tryna help
Kaylee: but you're not helping

I walked off and went to Archie's office. I walked in and threw myself onto the couch
Kaylee: I fucking hate this place
Archie: what's going on?
Kaylee: everyone's just pissing me off
Archie: what happened?
Kaylee: everyone's always on my case and always going on and it just adds to the noise
Archie: I've been getting emails from Mr James and a Dr Charles?
Kaylee: he's a psychiatrist at Med
Archie: you see a psychiatrist?
Kaylee: not really. Dad got me an appointment yesterday cause I've been struggling
Archie: that's why you weren't in?
Kaylee: yeah
Archie: how did the session go?
Kaylee: good he thinks there's a reason why I am the way I will
Archie: ADHD?
Kaylee: how'd you know?
Archie: the signs are there they have been for a while. You behave just like my older brother did when he was younger but adhd is so much easier to diagnose for boys.
Mr James walked in
Mr James: hey you ain't seen Kaylee have you?
Kaylee: I'm right here
He turned and looked at me. He gave me my report
Mr James: you have different targets this week. You're still on report to me
I looked at the report

Targets
1. Stay on task with 3 or less reminders
2. Follow instructions first time
3. Use of appropriate language or physical gestures
4. Don't be disruptive (interrupting, shouting out, distracting and leaving the classroom without permission)
Teacher Comments:

Mr James: if you wanna stay in this school then we gotta see a change in your behaviour. We don't expect you to become the perfect student but we need to see a little improvement. You have to prove that you want to be here. Understand?
Kaylee: yeah
Mr James: I don't want you to be expelled but you keep pushing and pushing.
Kaylee: I'll try I swear
Mr James: right you got Maths with Mr Vince
Kaylee: where's Mrs Boden?
Mr James: she's off sick today
Kaylee: urgh
The bell rang and Archie wrote my report.
Mr James: come on then let's go
Archie: I'll be in the lesson halfway through so please stay out of trouble
Kaylee: alright
Archie: I got you some fidget toys to help you focus
Kaylee: (sarcastically) ah thanks you're so kind
Archie: right get to lesson then Taz
Mr James: Taz?
Kaylee: like the Tasmanian devil from looney tunes
Mr James: right come on you're late
We walked to Maths and I sat down. Mr James gave mr Vince my report.
Mr James: Kaylee remember what we talked about
Kaylee: yeah yeah
Mr James left
Mr Vince: right so as you guys know next week is assessment week
All: urgh
Mr Vince: so we're just gonna be revising and working on topics that we're struggling with. I've put you in groups. These will be your groups for the next few lessons. So look at the board and get into your groups
I looked at the board and my name wasn't there.
Kaylee: I'm not up there
Mr Vince: you're with me
Carl: I'm not there either
Mr Vince: if your name is not on the board come and sit at the table on the front. Right on your tables are revision booklets on each topic we have covered already
We sat at the table. Mr Vince was going through it but I couldn't concentrate. I was just staring out the window
Mr Vince: Kaylee focus please
As the lesson went on it was getting harder to concentrate.
Kaylee: sir can I go outside?
Mr Vince: you got your pass?
Kaylee: yep
I showed it to him
Mr Vince: alright make sure you stay outside the classroom

I got up and went outside. I was walking up and down the corridor and bumped into Archie and Mr James
Mr James: what you doing out here?
Kaylee: I used my pass
Archie: you did?
Kaylee: I did
I noticed them smile at each other
Kaylee: don't make this weird. It's not a big deal
Mr James: it is a big deal
Kaylee: I should go back in before he thinks I've legged it
Me and Archie walked in and Archie sat beside me.
Archie: so what are you doing?
Kaylee: this booklet
Archie: let's see what you've done so far
Kaylee: I know it's not much but I'm trying
Archie: I can see that.
Mr Vince: have we all answered up to at least question 10? Hands up if you have
Me, Zach and Carl had our hands down
Mr Vince: right what question are you on?
Carl: 9
Zach: 6
Kaylee: 4
Some people started laughing
Mr Vince: right that's enough. I want the three of you to take this home for homework. The rest of you I want you to make revision material you can use to help you in the next few lessons. Homework due tomorrow
The bell rang
Mr Vince: right I'll see you tomorrow.
Everyone started leaving and it was just me and Zach. Mr Vince gave us our reports
Mr Vince: very good lesson you two
Kaylee: but I didn't do a lot of work compared to everyone else
Mr Vince: this is the most work you've done in my class.
He gave us our reports

Targets
1. Stay on task with 3 or less reminders
2. Follow instructions first time
3. Use of appropriate language or physical gestures
4. Don't be disruptive (interrupting, shouting out, distracting and leaving the classroom with permission)
Teacher Comments: Very good lesson today. Used time out pass to avoid disruption. Homework - complete up to question 10. Due tomorrow
