Staying with Connor

Jay pov
The past few days Kaylee has been really hyperactive and getting into more trouble than usual. She's been having next to zero seizures which means she's as hyper as ever. Right now I'm struggling to keep up with her. I was getting ready when I heard a massive crash from downstairs. I ran down the stairs and Kaylee was laid on the floor holding her face.
Jay: what's happened?
Kaylee: I tripped
Jay: let me see
I took her hand away from her face and she had split her eyebrow.
Jay: jeez peach
Kaylee: I'm sorry
Jay: this is why we don't rush about
I grabbed a tea towel and got her to hold it on her eyebrow. I got my phone and called Will
Will: Jay im just about to leave
Jay: there's been a little incident
Will: what's happened?
Jay: Kaylee split her eyebrow open
Will: I'm on my way. It's lucky we're going to med then
Jay: I know
Will: I'll beep when I'm outside
After about 10 minutes Will was outside and we made our way to the car.
Will: Connor's gonna be with Kaylee whilst you're in with Abrams
Jay: okay
We made it to med and Connor was waiting
Connor: come on then trouble

Kaylee pov
I went with Connor and he sat me in a treatment room.
Connor: what happened?
Kaylee: I tripped over the chair, fell into the lamp and hit the table
Connor: jeez. I think we need to wrap you in bubble wrap
Connor cleaned it then tried to look at how deep it was
Connor: you're gonna need stitches kiddo
Kaylee: no thanks
Connor: it wasn't a question
Connor started the stitches but it hurt
Kaylee: Connor it hurts
Connor: stop moving or you'll have a wonky scar
Kaylee: urgh
Connor: I know kid
After like 10 minutes he was finished
Connor: how you feeling?
Kaylee: fine. Can we go see dad now?
Connor: come on then
I ran up to neurology and saw Mathew
Kaylee: where's dad?
Mathew: he's not here today. He has an appointment with Sam and Ethan. He should be in x ray right now
Kaylee: okay
I ran to x ray and dad was walking out.
Kaylee: you okay?
Dad: yep I only have a couple weeks left with the boot and the arm cast is coming off and I'll have a splint instead.
Kaylee: that's good
Hailey: you wanna get lunch?
Kaylee: im not hungry
Hailey: smoothie?
Kaylee: okay. Dad you want anything?
Dad: just a smoothie please peach
Me and hailey went to the cafeteria. We ordered then sat down
Kaylee: can we have movie night?
Hailey: we'll see how dad feels okay?
Kaylee: okay
Hailey: can you stop tapping on the table?
Kaylee: im not
I looked at my hands and they were tapping
Kaylee: I didn't realise sorry

Hailey pov
Kaylee was really restless and struggling to sit still.
Hailey: Kaylee honey can you get me some napkins?
Kaylee: sure
She got up and ran around the cafeteria. She bumped into April
Hailey: Honey watch where you're going please?
Kaylee: sorry April
She sat back down and Jay walked in. He came over and sat down.
Hailey: how'd it go?
Jay: fine. I have to wear this splint for a couple weeks. My legs nearly healed. They said a couple more weeks and I can start physio
Hailey: that's good
Connor: Kaylee calm down. You're gonna get hurt.
We looked and Kaylee was doing back flips off of the table.
Connor: Kaylee come on let's go
Kaylee: where we going?
Connor: somewhere you can't cause trouble
Kaylee went with Connor
Jay: we really need to talk to someone about Kaylee.
Hailey: why?
Jay: she's too hyperactive and impulsive. She's exactly like me when I was younger.
Hailey: she's just being a teenager.
Jay: What if it's more than that? She's easily distracted, disorganised, messy. She's very talkative. It could be why she has trouble controlling her emotions and why she lashes out. You can't tell me all this is normal teenage behaviour
Hailey: ADHD is a boy thing. She'll grow out of it.
Jay: but what if she doesn't?
Hailey: what if she does?
Jay: we off home?
Hailey: yeah let's go find Kaylee
We walked to the ER and found Maggie.
Jay: Maggie you seen Kaylee?
Maggie: She's with Connor in the break room. She was causing chaos
Jay: im so sorry
Maggie: it's fine. It was nothing major she was just talking to patients non stop and blowing up gloves.
Jay started laughing
We went up to the break room and Kaylee was sat with Connor and Justin.
Justin: hey guys
Jay: hi what you doing here?
Justin: having lunch
Kaylee: can I stay at Connor's tonight?
Hailey: if it's okay with Connor and Justin
Connor: course she can
Justin: how'd the appointment go?
Jay: I have to wear this splint for a couple weeks and my leg's healing well so a few more weeks and it can come off
Justin: that's good
Jay: yeah
Connor: I've noticed speech is better
Jay: yep
I looked at Kaylee and she was zoned out playing with Justin's bracelets on his wrist.
Kelly: so Hailey how's things with you and the little one?
Hailey: everything's going good. He's gonna be a soccer player for sure. The way he kicks oh man. The pregnancy has been quite easy. I'm very lucky.
Connor got paged
Connor: well that's lunch over. Well we'll come get Kaylee at around 5:30.
Jay: that's cool
Hailey: Kaylee come on

We walked out to the car and went home.
Jay: peach go get your stuff ready
Kaylee: I don't need anything. I have things there
Jay: if you forget anything im not coming to get it
Kaylee: I never asked you to
Jay: Kaylee
Kaylee: whatever
She went upstairs.

Kaylee pov
I went upstairs and I messaged Freddie

Kaylee
You at home?

Freddie 🤪
Yeah why?

Kaylee
I'm staying round tonight

Freddie 🤪
Why?

Kaylee
It's Friday. Dad and hailey are getting fed up with me

Zach not gonna be jealous 😂

Kaylee
Why would he be jealous. We're family

Freddie 🤪
Well Chloe told me that he told Josh that he doesn't like how close we are

Kaylee
I'll talk to him

I FaceTimed Zach
Zach: hi
Kaylee: hey
Zach: you okay?
Kaylee: are you jealous of Freddie?
Zach: what?
Kaylee: you don't like how close we are?
Zach: it's not that im jealous. It's just that I've heard stories
Kaylee: what stories?
Zach: of how he treats people. What he's really like. He's trouble Kaylee. He smokes weed. He fights. He's not a good person Kaylee: he's my family Zach. He's been through shit no kid should go through. Give him a chance Zach. Please for me.
Zach: fine
Kaylee: I love you
Zach: I love you too
Dad: Kaylee!
Zach: we'll FaceTime tonight?
Kaylee: im gonna be at Connor and Justin's. We're going out for dinner
Zach: okay call me when you can okay
Kaylee: okay
