Alessia's pov Today's the day. The new team is getting revealed. I'm honestly a nervous wreck. And then to make matters worse, I found out last night that Mrs Miller passed away. I was bawling pretty much all night and now I'm so tired. At least our moms didn't make us do homeschool today though
"Hi" Abby says when my mom and I got to the studio
"Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your mom" I tell her and she hugs me
"Thank you babe" Abby hugs me
We then went into the dancers den and you could tell everyone was sad, but also scared and nervous for the new team.
I went over to Maddie and changed into my black booty shorts and aldc top. Then we all had to put our white Aldc jacket over. I then had my hair in a bun and a black bow
After that we all ran into studio A and lined up with our mothers behind us.
"Wow. You're looking like a team today. And in hindsight, perhaps we shouldn't have competed this past weekend. Perhaps we should've taken a weekend off. But in your minds, know that you went out, you did a beautiful performance for my mom, Mary Ann Lorraine Miller." Abby says and I start to cry thinking about her not being here anymore. I feel my mom squeeze my shoulders signaling that it's okay, but I also know she's hurting
"The winning streak, as we know it, is over. It was good while it lasted. But if you keep winning, you're not going to get better. All right, let's get to the pyramid"
"Chloe, you had a solo. You were fifth overall. From what I'm hearing, and I wasn't there, you should have been second or third."
"Next we have Nia. Nia, you still have a long way to go."
"Kalani, you were beautiful in the group. You're kinda just there."
"Next, we have Kendall. You hold your own in the group. It's that solo that we have trouble with."
"Next, we have Maddie. Maddie, you went out there and do that solo like a rock star, but-"
"Mackenzie and Ale did it all this week" Abby says and everyone claps when they see us and I hug Kenzie. "Mackenzie shot a video. The director, Andrew Logan, he said, that kids going to be a star."
"Then we all know Ale went to La, filmed an episode of a show, flew back to New York, competed a solo, and won against girls 6 years older than her. That's what a true professional does" Abby says and I smile while everyone else claps

"All righty. So I know you've been here since the beginning. I know you've paid tuition for years and years and years. But times they are a changing. I've been telling you for months now, that I'm going to form a new team. You know I've gone around the country to look for new team members. You've seen what people will do, say, sacrifice, to be part of the Abby Lee Dance Company. But after seeing all the talent from Orlando, Atlanta and New York City, I came up with a team that's just like all of you."
