Aria and Melissa's announcement (s6 e16)

Alessia's pov
"So, yeah, that is the plan" My mom finishes her whole little speech and I look up, some tears in my eye. I look over to Maddie and she looks the same

"Are you guys okay with that? I mean we knew it would happen at some point soon" Melissa says

"Yea" Is all I manage to say before crying

"Aw, don't cry." Melissa hugs me and Maddie and my mom joins us

"Listen, you still have some time. Make the most of it" My mom tells us and we nod

"Okay, let's get back to homeschool now" Melissa says and Maddie and I go back to the kitchen counter to finish school before dance

At least we're keeping our promise that we made when we were younger

All the girls are now walking to the studio for dance. I'm wearing black joggers with Dance written on the side in pink. I also have a gray tank top and a pink zip up over. My hairs already in my bun too

I put my phone down as we get to our moms to say hi.

"We'll meet you guys inside" Jill tells all of us and we nod. I don't know if anyone could tell there's something wrong based on mine and Maddie's faces. After our conversation with our moms this morning, we've both been quieter and kind of down

Aria's pov
"Aria and Melissa haven't committed to going or staying. Are you guys coming back to be apart of the team?" Jill asks and Melissa and I look at each other. Silently agreeing to tell them the truth

"We are not coming back with our kids" I tell them and they all look taken aback by the confirmation of the rumors

"You two knew though?" Jill questions

"We didn't have all our ducks in a row yet." Melissa says

"The way that was coming across before was that you guys were hiding something." Holly responds

"We weren't hiding, but we were instructed by our attorney." Melissa states

"Hannah and Mackenzie don't know" I add

"So the older sisters know, but the younger ones don't?" Holly questions and we nod

"Does that mean that Hannah and Kenzie are not a permanent resident of the ALDC without you two here?" Ashlee asks

"No. Our daughters need us; they're 10 and 11." I say

"What do you think Abby's going to say about you two leaving?" Jill asks

"I think she's gonna be sad, but she'll be happy." Melissa reply's

"Do you think she's expecting it?" She asks again

"I don't know" Melissa shrugs

"Why don't you guys go tell her before pyramid?" Jill suggests

"We are. We are" I assure the moms

Melissa and I then leave them so we could go tell Abby

"Hi, it's just us" Melissa tells Abby as the two of us enter her office/living space

"What's up?" Abby asks as she drinks her coffee

"Um, we just wanted to tell you, with everything going on with Ale and Maddie, and, you know, we're just busy, and lots of things are in the works, um..." Melissa begins before she starts to choke up so she signals me to continue

"First of all, Melissa and I appreciate you and everything that you've done for our kids, and for everything you've done for me personally over the last thirty years or so. But, um, we're gonna, after this season, we're just gonna... not be on the elite team anymore." I finish as I wipe a couple tears away
