Alessia's pov "You girls go" Holly tells us and we go up to the studio. I begin to take off my purple Lululemon scuba which reveals my black ALDC tight, cropped, tee-shirt. I then take off my black Lululemon leggings which reveal my red booty shorts. I then keep my hair in the two Dutch braids that Nia did earlier today in our hotel lobby
"All right, ladies. You won. Finally. This week, word on the street: the Candy Apples are here again and they're gonna come back with a vengeance. We want to be way above them this time. We want to be much further. You should set yourself apart. That's what Kalani did. Just the look, just the aura that you bring to the stage, the professionalism. That's what you need to do." Abby explains
"Do you want Kalani to come back?" Holly asks Abby
"No" Abby shakes her head
"Yeah, but now we won this weekend without her, but with Nationals around the corner... I mean, Kalani's a loss, it's a void. So what... what do we do?" Jill questions
"Well, get your magic wand out, wave it, and make your kids' legs and feet look like hers." Abby shrugs
"Let's get to the pyramid, shall we?"
"At the bottom of the pyramid... JoJo. I think your feet look horrendous, and you're not conscious of it."
"Next we have Nia. Your dancing didn't stand out in the group routine. You weren't mesmerizing- that's why you're here. So let's not have that happen again."
"And... we have Mackenzie. You did well, but we kept correcting you on your eyes. You don't express yourself through your eyes. That's what we needed you to do."
"And then... Maddie. Now, Maddie, you and Ale shared the lead in the group routine, and I feel like everytime we do a group routine that you two are the leads, which is more often than not, you're both automatically on top of the pyramid. It's time to knock you down a few pegs. And this is my way of knocking you down. You both are gonna start to work for that" she points to the top of the pyramid, "a lot harder"
"Speaking of... next is Ale. Ale, same with you. You usually share the lead with Maddie which automatically makes you two share the top of the pyramid. I need you to stop resting on your laurels. I need to keep pushing you. This is my way of doing that"
"And at the top of the pyramid... we have Kendall. Kendall, you're on top of the pyramid because I felt that you took some initiative in the group routine."

"This week we're traveling to Escondido, California, and we are attending the New York Dance Experience. Now, this is actually our countdown to nationals. It's gonna start here and now." Abby tells us
"Our solos are going to go... to the person on top of the pyramid... and the person on the bottom of the pyramid." Abby points and we clap. I wish I got a solo, but I'm also kind of happy I don't have one because my ankles really been hurting a lot
