Zadhea looked down at the hand she was holding. Compared to her small hand, Heidith's hand was huge. It could cover her entire hand completely. Feeling a little uncomfortable, she looked at others to see if they were doing the same. However, the boys were walking while keeping some distance from each other, unlike the two of them who walked side by side, holding hands.

Like a couple.

Her eyes widened.

'We indeed look like a couple.'

Zadhea looked around, feeling somehow embarrassed as her face faintly flushed. She could see some boys and girls stealing glances in their direction. Not just young people, some aunties too.

'Dwamn!'

She let go of Heidith's hand, causing him to tilt his head at her with a puzzled look on his face.

Ignoring his confused look, Zadhea tiptoed and put an arm around his shoulder.

'Now we must look like bros.'

Heidith became ashamed of her action. Panicking, he tried to remove her arm from his shoulder, asking, "What are you doing, Zadhea?"

Zadhea tightened her grip around his shoulder. "Stay still."

"This isn't appropriate, Zadhea!" Heidith tried to keep his patience as he stated, this time a bit angrily.

Zadhea clicked her tongue. "Aren't we commoners right now? No one will recognize your ass, Heidith. Just chill!"

She'd noticed that Heidith thought too much about his image sometimes. How could he enjoy life like that? Wasn't it troublesome to always care about 'the image'? Evelyn was just like him. Annoying noble people! Although she was also royalty, Zadhea didn't think of her image all the freaking time.

Heidith shook his head angrily. "You are a girl, okay? This isn't something a girl should do."

Zadhea raised her brows. "Oh, really? Gender inequality! How sad."

"No, it's not like that." Heidith pressed his temples. Then, hesitating a little, he blurted out, "I'm shy."

Zadhea became stupefied. "But you can hold hands?"

Heidith sighed. "Leave me alone..."

"Guys," At that time, the boy who led the group called out to everyone excitedly. "I think something interesting is happening there." He pointed towards the large crowd that surrounded some nomads who entertained people by doing some circus stuff. Because the crowd was too large, it wasn't easy to watch the performers.

"Aaah, let's go there!" Zadhea shook Heidith hard, acting like a small kid, momentarily forgetting their conflict.

Although Zadhea was a tall girl, since there were many people and their small group was too far from the performers, she couldn't properly see what was going on. She uncomfortably tiptoed and sometimes jumped up to take a look.

"Can't see?" She heard a deep voice ask.

"Yeah." She nodded, not looking away from the performance. "And my legs hurt from all the jumping."

"Want some help?"

This time she looked at Heidith in the eyes. His green eyes looked genuine. She could feel warmth radiating from them.

"But how?" Instead of answering, she asked back.

Heidith lowered his upper body. "Hop on."

"Hell no!" Zadhea blushed. "Heidith, stand up. People are looking at us."
