"Eliana!" Darryl quickly pulled the sword out of her stomach and threw it to the ground. "I didn't mean to. I'm sor..." His mouth stopped moving, and his eyes ceased blinking as his body froze, making him appear like a statue.
Eliana frowned as she opened her eyes. The immense pain in her stomach had completely disappeared. She touched her abdomen and looked at her hand, seeing it covered in blood. She had been severely wounded, so how could she not feel any pain?
"I froze time," Sullivan said, clarifying her doubts. His voice choked as he added, "but it'll only last for ten minutes."
He took a deep breath and blinked away the tears that threatened to spill. "Ellie, let me transform into a dragon. Although I don't have any healing powers, I can still try to find someone who can help us."
He closed his eyes, preparing to begin his transformation. But before he could turn into a dragon, Eliana touched his elbow, stopping him.
"It's too late," she whispered. Cupping his face, she gave him a gentle smile and said, "I want to spend my last few minutes with you. Can you grant me my final wish?"
Sullivan's eyes filled with tears as he slightly pursed his lips, nodding weakly. Deep down, he knew she was telling the truth. It was too late to save her. His heart shattered at that thought, and he felt powerless and helpless.
Eliana brushed her thumbs softly against his cheeks. "It's temporary, okay? I'll be back for you, I promise."
She chuckled as their memories came to her mind. "Remember the time you played guitar while singing a song for me? That was one of the best moments of my life."
Sullivan didn't speak as he let her continue, his eyes filled with sadness and despair.
"Sullivan..." She looked into his eyes with a serious expression. "Don't give up on your dreams, okay? These are my dreams too. I want you to be a talented musician. You have to participate in a big concert and win first prize for me."
As he listened to her, Sullivan’s mind drifted back to their past.

"Ellie, look! I rented a guitar," Sullivan said proudly as he showed Eliana a brown guitar. "Wanna listen to a song? I can sing too, you know. I'll sing a beautiful song for you."
She raised a brow, pleasantly surprised. "Wow! You know how to play guitar?"
He nodded with a smile, his eyes twinkling. "So... do you want to listen?"
"Of course!" she nodded excitedly.
With a warm smile on his lips, Sullivan began playing the guitar as he sang a song about young love, his eyes often falling on Eliana's face. She placed a hand on her cheek, watching him sing with an equally gentle smile. When he finished, she leaned closer and kissed his cheek.
"So beautiful," Eliana praised from the bottom of her heart, her eyes shining with sincerity. "Why don't you become a singer? I think you were born to do this. You are so talented—I felt like I was in another world. Amazing!"
"To be honest, that's my dream too," Sully admitted, ruffling her hair. "If you think I can become a singer, then I definitely will." He raised his chin confidently.
"Yeah. I'll come to all of your concerts and competitions to cheer you on. I want to see you win first prize and other awards." She beamed.
Sullivan's heart melted at her enthusiasm for his ambitions. He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. "Ellie, I love you!"
Eliana closed her eyes, savoring the warmth of his lips against her forehead.
"I love you too."
