Stella took a deep breath to soothe her messy heart. Gathering her composure again, she wore an angelic smile on her face before walking elegantly towards Heidith's bed. Staying beside him, she gently touched his shoulder, asking, "Heidith, are you feeling better?"

He touched his stinging left cheek. "My cheek..."

"Indeed." Suzamine approached him, pushing Stella aside. "What happened to your cheek? It's red and swollen."

Stella clutched her dress. Before Heidith could say anything, she spat, "I did it!"

Everyone looked at her, stunned.

She pushed a hair strand behind her ear, playing the innocent girl. "There was a mosquito..."

"You slapped him really hard, huh?" Suzamine shook his head in disbelief.

"Because of a small mosquito? Unbelievable!" Gronald exclaimed.

"Why did you accept it?" Stella heard the snake ask in an unpleasant voice.

Stella blinked her eyes a few times as tears began to pour out. Sobbing, she hid her face in her hands. "I didn't mean to... Hik hik... I really didn't mean to... I just wanted to protect him from the mosquito! Mosquitoes carry diseases..."

"Enough." Heidith felt tired seeing her cry miserably. He just wanted to rest. He had never felt this weak before. "Don't criticize her. She had good intentions behind her actions. So I forgive her."

Stella's eyes glistened with tears. "Th-thank you, Heidith!" Her face broke into a bright smile.

Heidith held his forehead. He felt like he missed something very important. However, he couldn't recall anything. His memory was blurry. It made him restless. He felt anxious for no reason.

Turning to Levis, he asked, "Did you tell me something about Zadhea?"

Stella clenched her hands.

'Zadhea, Zadhea, Zadhea! Always that woman! Why can't he stop thinking about her? What's so special about that woman?'

Levis pondered for a moment before nodding. "Of course. She came here and asked about your condition."

Heidith's eyes lit up. "Really? Where is she now? I want to see her." He sat up with difficulty.

Levis lowered his eyes. "I'm sorry, Heidith. I asked her to come here, but she refused. She said she's busy. And she said..." He swallowed the remaining part.

Heidith's eyes turned cold. "What did she say?" he questioned in an unfriendly tone.

Levis hesitated. "You won't want to..."

"Just tell me," he snapped.

Levis bit his lower lip. "She said she just wanted to make sure you weren't dead."

Heidith frowned. "No way. She would never say such a thing."

"Are you sure, Heidith?" Iven tilted his head. "She always treated you like that."

"No." Heidith shook his head. "I trust her. She's not that kind of person." He tried to stand up. "I want to talk to her now."

"Don't be stubborn." Suzamine pinned him down. "You need a proper rest."

"That's true," Levis chimed in. "Let me bring her here instead."

Heidith reluctantly agreed. "Thank you, Levis. I've never felt this weak. I can't understand why I feel so weak. It feels like my body has no strength."

Stella pushed Suzamine aside before sitting on the edge of the bed, holding a bowl filled with soup. "It's because you are sick. Let me feed you something so you can recover faster."
