[HELP - Isabel LaRosa]

༺ 𓆙 ༻
Wed. 27th October 1993 - 1:03am...

A pair of shaking hands grab my shoulders, "Jane! Jane, get up. Get up!" Pansy's words rung in my ear. Hushed, and panicked.

I jolt up, opening my eyes - Only to see how frantic she was. Glancing over to the clock, it read just past one in the morning.

Turning to the door, our friends stood in the doorway. All holding their wands. Draco walked over to me, handing me a pair of my boots.

"What's going on? What's happening?" I get up, pulling on my boots and robe.

"It's the Fat Lady, she started screaming about Sirius Black. A real ear-sore, so we hear." Theodore held the door open, and we all exit the dorm. "Dumbledore ordered everyone goes to the dinner hall."

I swallow, my breath catching in my throat for a second.

"Come on, I do not want to stick around in the dungeons." Daphne whispered.

Despite how silent my friends were trying to be, screams and wails from outside my room told another story.

We hurried down the corridors, loudly clanking our way down the metal and marble steps towards the common room.

Stepping into the common room was even worse - It was pure chaos. Prefects rounding up the first years, Professor Snape yelling to ever corner of the room for us to 'keep our heads on,' and 'not to overreact and panic so much.'

Draco's hand found mine amongst the crowd, everyone pushing and shoving in all directions. "This is pathetic, someone's going to get killed in here."

We lost our friends leaving for the Great Hall, as students from the other houses soon mixed together once we reached the Grand Central area of the castle.

Similarly to the train ride back in September - Everyone was confused, asking any and all types of different questions.

Déjà-Vu much?

"Silence!" Dumbledore exclaims, and we all grew silent.

We stood in four areas of the hall, the tables and chairs had been cleared for the night. We had no where to sit, except the floor - Which I could see Luna cross-legged on the floor, not far from me.

Regardless of the lack of organization, Dumbledore insisted we divided ourselves into our houses.

"I will not have anyone leave this hall, do you all understand me? Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick shall stay in the Great Hall, while me and the rest of the staff will search the castle. Do not fear, I have everything under control."

Yes, I'm sure you do.

"We do not need any more unnecessary lies, or fears spread around this room." He announced, waving his finger in the air. "Hagrid will provide sleeping bags for you all. First years may retrieve theirs first, following on from them will be second years; and so on."

2:51am...

Lying on the cold stone floor, Draco and Pansy's sleeping bags either side of mine, I stared up at the charmed ceiling.

Shooting stars, and calm constellations were cast to ease our minds. It worked for mostly everyone, falling asleep instantly beside their friends and classmates.

I wish I could say the same for me.

I close my eyes for a brief while, but I'm unsuccessful at falling asleep. I heard one of them turning onto their side, then I felt a hand resting on top of my own.

"Hey," Pansy whispers, tugging my hand down to make it easier for her to told it. "It's going to be fine. If you keep your eyes open, you'll make it more difficult for yourself to get some rest."

I tilt my head towards her, and I nod. "Alright."

She lightly squeezed my hand, shuffling closer to me in her sleeping bag, to nestle her head on my shoulder. "Me and Draco are next to you, try to get some sleep."
