Sat. 30th October 1993 -  2:00pm...

I've only been back in my aunty and uncle's house for a few days, and I already miss my home.

Hogwarts is my home.

Not here; and certainly not anywhere without my brother.

My brother, my friends... and my new boyfriend are all back in Hogwarts, while I hide in my bedroom.

Technically, they'd all find themselves preoccupied by now. Preparing for the Hallowe'en holiday break.

Dumbledore was persistent regarding my rushed exit out of Hogwarts - It almost convinced Harry how he mightn't be the great wizard he's believed him all out to be.

Not even this could sway his mind still however, as Harry isn't the type of person to see people from one angle - He finds the good in the evil, and the meaning throughout the misunderstanding or lack of perspective.

Although, sometimes I feel he projects that energy towards the wrong people.

Hallowe'en is tomorrow, a holiday favourited by some of my friends. Theodore planned a trip for us, to a famous Muggle village. Against Draco's constant complaints, I convinced him to come with us. He couldn't say no to me.

Now, I'm stuck here. Alone.

Jinx, Sniffles and Evergreen are in the trusted hands of Luna and Draco. He sent me a letter with a polaroid image of Sniffles wearing his rings: he tried to convince me it wasn't staged. Contrasting from Luna's lovely orange themed picnic with Jinx. I adored both photographs equally.

I didn't even have my own animals with me.

An owl tapped on my window, and I got up to open it. The letter had my name on the front, in Draco's handwriting.

I break open the seal and read it,

Love,

We've decided to move the Hallowe'en party Theo organised to the Malfoy Manor. Pack a suitcase, and meet me and Blaise close to King's Cross Station. Preferably early, at ten o'clock.

If you can't make it there, we'll come and collect you at the Leaky Cauldron, in London.

My mother wants to meet you.

Please bring your beautiful sage green dress with the black bow, we're dining rich for the holiday.

Yours always,

D.M.

A wide smile breaks out onto my face. I reach for a scrap piece of paper, and a pen nearby. I write my response and send it off with the owl,

Draco,

I can travel easily to the Leaky Cauldron via a bus specific for witches and wizards.
