"Elle traversa joyeusement la rue quand il passa," Mrs. Lambussy said, reading the sentence off the board. "Who wants to translate?"

All hands stayed with their owners as the students avoided eye contact with the mean-looking teacher as she scanned the room for volunteers.

"Oh please, don't put your hands up all at once." She sneered sarcastically, her pointer stick slapping against her palm. "If no one volunteers I'll just pick."

In the back corner of the room, Lloyd sat with his head on his desk in boredom. He didn't care to pay attention during his language classes, especially this one because of his constant feud with the teacher.

He was trying his best to not draw attention to himself, but his sly teacher used his lack of attention to pick on him.

"Lloyd what's the translation," Mrs. Lambussy smirked to herself. She finally caught Lloyd off guard so she could embarrass him.

"She walked happily across the street as he passed by," Lloyd replied smugly without missing a beat. His chin was still lying on the desk and his posture only made the French teacher angrier.

"Oh, you think you're so smart do you?" She snapped, her fists pressing into her hips. Her face is full of pure hatred.

"No, I only answered the question," Lloyd replied confused; his voice laced with irritation.

"Don't talk to me with that tone," She said, advancing to Lloyd's seat in the back.

"I didn't even do anything," Lloyd said, his arms raised at his sides as he ignored Mrrs. Lambussy's attempts of sizing him up.

"I don't want excuses." She sneered. "To the principal's office, now."

"She won't even do anything when she realizes how absurd this situation is," Lloyd muttered in a low voice, his hand reaching for his bag.

"Fine, Detention after school today," She decided, her lips turning up in a twisted smile as all the kids around her gave loud 'oooooooo's and 'dams'.

"You've got to be kidding me," Lloyd said, slumping into his chair, his ears turning bright red in anger.

"Do you want me to make it a week?" She snarled nastily, her palm laid flat on Lloyd's desk as she leaned in closer. "I could make it two weeks,"

"And I could make you lose your job," Lloyd snapped back, unable to control his anger. Mrs. Lambussy stood up straight in offense. Her smirk wiped off her face completely and was replaced with a deep frown that caused her forehead wrinkles to turn downwards.

"Fine, two weeks it is," She said, turning sharply on her heel leaving a fuming Lloyd.

"Be ready to get your two-week notice," He muttered in a low voice, his anger reaching its brink. Mrs. Lambussy ignored his threats, carrying herself high after her petty 'argument' with a high school student.

"Dang that's rough buddy," Jay said, having been seated in the seat next to Lloyd and witnessing the entire interaction. Lloyd rolled his eyes at Jay's poor attempt to lighten the mood.

"And just like that! Two weeks of detention over nothing. I swear that frog-faced, rat nest head, little piece of-" Lloyd strong long, and nasty curses at Mrs. Lambussy's appearance angrily as he and Jay walked out of the classroom.

"Dude, calm down. You can just have your mom get rid of them. She'll understand." Jay said, trying to console the inconsolable, red-seeing, Lloyd.

"She's too busy to deal with my 'misunderstandings with teachers'. She'll probably wave it off as 'teenage hormones'" Lloyd grumped. His hands folded over his chest, his face in a deep frown.

"Well, maybe you can talk to her during Lunch? Her door is always open then," Jay suggested. "And besides she's your mom. Isn't she supposed to take your side,"

"Seriously? Even after I threatened the teacher? I don't think so," Lloyd kicked a crumpled paper into the overflowing trash can. "Someone needs to empty that."

"I don't know man. You gotta do something. You can't just stay moping." Jay shrugged his fingers fiddling with a pen.

"I'm not moping. I'm ruminating on a plan to completely destroy Mrs. Lambussy forever!" Lloyd said maliciously, rubbing his hands together like a villain in a comic book. Jay looked at him with a hint of fear before spotting a familiar face in the crowd of students rushing to get to their next class.

"Just don't do anything you'll regret," Jay said, dashing off to walk with Nya.

"Well hello there," Nya said once Jay joined her side. "Ready for Chemistry."

"You mean an hour-long lecture on why we're not supposed to put mentos into the random liquids?" Jay corrected, making Nya smile and laugh a bit.

"I can't believe Brad and Chad did that," Nya said recalling the memory of a failed "Coke and Mentos challenge" where the two previous sophomores put mentos into an acid that looked like Coca-Cola, which caused the container to explode and the boys were dyed light brown for weeks. It was worth the likes on NinjTube and NikNok but wasn't good for the Chemistry class funds.

"Those two knuckleheads will end up killing themselves with all the crazy stunts they pull," Jay shrugged, smiling. Nya nodded and the two walked in silence to their class.

As all the students were seated, Mr. Franksine stood at the demonstration table that was full of liquids and solids of different shapes, volumes, colors, and sizes.

"Okay class, today we will be doing a lab on Artificial vs Natural Acids" Mr. Franklin explained. "To do this we need to..."

"I never knew colored liquids could be this fascinating," Jay said, pouring the bubbling pink liquid onto the white powder in the triangular tube.

"I know right," Nya said, dropping a few drops of this pale teal liquid onto the green sponge on the table.

"Very good you two. Make sure to write down your steps and observations." Mr. F said as he walked around the room observing students' progress.

"What are you doing?" Ash questioned Brad as he grabbed a flower from his backpack.

"Testing," he replied before grabbing the white liquid test tube and dropping a couple of drops onto the sunflower's petals.

"We aren't supposed to" Ash was interrupted by a small explosion from Brad's failed experiment. "- do that,"

"Cool," Brad said laughing at the now white petals that floated around him with white dust hanging in the air. He started coughing loudly after inhaling a bit of the dust.

"Where is your mask bruh," Chad questioned from the lab station ahead of Brad. His gloved hands on his face trying to suppress the laughter.

"Don't touch your eyes you fool." Ultra Violet scolded Chad, but it was already too late. Due to the contact with exposed chemicals, Chad's eyes grew redder and the skin around them became inflamed.

"Ah, it burns!" He yelled, rubbing at his eyes more. Brad's choking increased with his audible laughter slipping through the gasps of air.

"Will someone take them down to the nurse?" Mr. Frank said, shaking his head in disappointment.

"We will," Zane and Pixal said, already escorting the red-eyed and coughing boys from the room.

"I think we need another lecture on lab safety," Jay laughed looking at Nya.

"We do." She said, chuckling softly. "Definitely."
