"I am so glad I get to skip second period for this," Lloyd exclaimed, basically bouncing on his toes in excitement. "No annoying Lambussy for me,"
Lloyd and Zane walked through the hallway during the beginning of second period since they were excused from their classes to complete some student council work. Today was the election selection day where the current council members would choose freshman to join them since the leaving of their seniors of the previous year.
Lloyd wasn't exactly excited to do this job, but he was excited that he could miss that horrid Mrs. Lambussy's class for once. Zane rolled his eyes before pushing open the door that held the students. Inside there were eight kids. The only one that caught Lloyd's eye was the one with pink hair. It didn't seem dyed and it really matched her face. He needed to ask her if her hair was real, but he didn't want to seem awkward or weird.
Either way, he had duties to complete before he and the rest of the kids had to return to their second period classes, which meant the slower Lloyd went, the higher the chance that he wouldn't have to go back to Mrs. Lambussy's classroom. Zane on the other hand would do anything to hurry up this meeting since he enjoyed his second period class, Mandarin, especially since he and Pixal shared a class and he felt bad leaving her their alone.
"Hello freshman. You all should know me as Lloyd Garmadon, the school president. I assume you all know why you're here?" Lloyd asked, walking infront of the freshies. A couple kids nodded. "Good. First I'll ask you your names since I've misplaced my name sheet,"
Lloyd smiled sheepishly scanning the room for the lost paper. Zane rolled his eyes at his friends antics. He knew Lloyd was doing this to stall. So instead of letting Lloyd waste a few minutes pretending to search for the "lost" paper, Zane went up behind him and snagged the paper from his back pocket in one single calculated move. He handed it to Lloyd who snatched it frm him with a fake smile plastered over his face.
"When I call your name, just say here," Lloyd spoke, adjusting the paper in front of him.
"Arin"
"Here"
"Sora"
"Here"
"Jake"
"Here"
"Nelson"
"Here"
"Rad?"
"Present." Rad giggled, trying to cover his laugh with his hand.
"You're Brad's brother aren't you?" Lloyd asked, remembering the familiar last name. Rad nodded, a mischievous grin still on is face. "You better not cause more problems than your brother,"
But it was too late for that. When Lloyd stepped forward to shake his hand like he did with every other student before him, Rad secretly attached a buzzer to his hand. So when Lloyd shook his hand, he instantly shot backwards clutching his pulsing palm and hissing in pain.
"Oh hell no," Lloyd cursed, trying to massage the feeling back into his hand. "I have to deal with your annoying brother every day, I do not need another one of him disrupting peace. You're out."
"Oh come on it was a harmless prank, I bet it didn't hurt," Rad shrugged, unclipin the buzzer from his hand. While he did this, be manuvered the buzzer towards his own hand, which ended in him shocking himself. "God Damn! That's a killer."
"Let's move on to the test," Lloyd said, aftered kicking Rad out of the room. The rest of the kids stood awkwardly waiting for Lloyd to tell them where to go. Lloyd noticed and motioned the kids to the seats. They took their seats silently, except for Nelson, whose chair scrapped against the floor when he tried to sit down.
