Science wasn't Seliel's best subject, math, history, gym, or basically everything except music and dance, which didn't help her academically. Seliel frowned at the science equations on her worksheet. Why did math have to haunt her in every class she was in?

Seliel sighed before scribbling down an answer that didn't match the question before flipping the page.

"I guess science isn't your best subject?" A voice asked, sitting next to Seliel. Seliel's fist clenched. The teacher allowed the students to work in groups or partners for this activity as long as the class kept the noise down, which they weren't, Mr. Yugi didn't care.

"None of the subjects are my best," Seliel replied, placing her forehead on the desk with a groan. Nya hummed, flipping Seliel's sheet back over. She scanned the mismatched answers and cringed at the amount of 'I don't know all over the paper. "I bet you're wondering how I even got into this school?"

"No offense, but I kind of am," Nya said, sliding the paper back to Seliel.

"I only got in because the dance teacher wanted me on the dance team and because I had like 5 tutors who drilled all the knowledge into my head," Seliel patted her skull, Nya let out a small laugh. "Well, they didn't do a great job because now all the knowledge is gone, and I'm even more confused than I was originally."

"I could tutor you," Nya suggested, shrugging. Seliel looked up from the table. "I mean in science and math; I am terrible at History."

"That would be great thank you." Seliel smiled, her fists relaxing as she straightened her fingers.

"It's nothing really, I tutor Cole all the time because he's absolutely terrible at math. He's more of an arts guy and muscle guy," Nya said sneakily. She had heard from Cole that he was actually forming a crush on Seliel and being the matchmaker she was, Nya wanted to get the two together. She practically owed it to Cole for getting herself and Jay together after a bunch of awkward meetings. "Y'know I could totally tutor you together! That would be great. Here I'll give you my number and send you some dates."

Nya pulled out her phone, Seliel doing the same. Nya typed in her name and number into a contact before snapping a quick picture of herself for the photo. She sent herself a message before handing the phone back to Seliel.

"Now that I have officially met you, I have some questions," Nya scooted closer to Seliel, lowering her voice. Seliel gulped at the sudden change of tone. "Is Vania still bothering you?"

Seliel was taken aback by the question but wasn't exactly surprised. Ever since Nya saw her crying in the bathroom, she knew that Nya would confront her about it, especially since Seliel ran away so abruptly. Seliel swallowed the lump in her throat. "She picks on me more since she knows Cole and I go on dates more often, but it's nothing physical yet. Just rude remarks about the way I look and shallow things like that."

Nya nodded. "That's totally something Vania would do. Ever since she and Cole broke up Sophomore year December, she's changed, and not for the better. She's like some kind of yandere, but instead of killing the people who want a relationship with Cole, she destroys their self-esteem. It's really weird. She even tried it with me, but I don't like Cole that way, he's like a brother and I don't-"

Seliel nodded along, but she couldn't get past what Nya said about Vania destroying people's self-esteem. Seliel's self-confidence was already low due to bad parenting, but bullying on top of that was a bit too much for her to handle. But Seliel wasn't a quitter, and she knew that ditching Cole would be falling into Vania's trap, so she was going to do everything to ignore Vania's useless taunting.

"-Yeah, so I've got your back, and I'm pretty sure your whole friend group does to because a bunch of them have been bullied by Vania and her goons." Nya smiled, finishing her little rant. "Sorry, I talk a lot, I got it from my boyfriend. He rambles a lot too."

"Nah it's okay. It's nice to talk with someone once in a while." Seliel said. Nya smiled softly. "Well, the bell is ringing in a few minutes, and this paper is due by the end of class, so I think we need to finish it."

"Oh. I finished twenty minutes ago," Nya replied sheepishly. "Here copy my answers since I kinda spent some of your time."

Nya slid her paper over to Seliel who gladly copied ever answer, erasing her random ones. Once Seliel was finished she slid the paper back to Nya and the two got up to hand in their work to Mr. Yugi who was grading papers. He motioned to the pile on his desk with the other worksheets and the two placed theirs's down.

The bell rung and the two left the room to go to their next class.
