"She did what?" Lloyd whisper-shouted to Nya after she recounted the details of lunch.
Mr. Tyron turned around from the board and shot Lloyd glare. Lloys smiled sheepishly, sliding a bit down in his seat.
"Why would she do that?" Lloyd questioned.
"Because she's crazy obsessed," Nya sneered. Jay nodded in agreement.
"Who knows what she would have done if we didn't show up," Jay leaned against his chair, his arms folded across his chest.
"And this is a reason why I don't want a girlfriend," Lloyd sighed.
"At this point, he should get a restraining order against her," Nya suggested, her elbows resting on the closed textbook.
"Can't. Not until they are both over 18, city rules," Jay corrected, his arm behind the back on his chair.
"Then Lloyd tells your father to change the rules," Nya turned to Lloyd, smirking.
"Yeah, no can do. It'll take years for a law to change and besides, he's the mayor not the Emperor," Lloyd scribbled down some formulas from the board onto his notebook.
"What a bummer." Nya sighed sadly. "How's the election going?"
"The election isn't till March, but the campaigning is going well." Lloyd explained, letting his pencil roll from the table onto his lap. "This will be his second term, so I bet a lot of votes will be his,"
"Who's he running against?" Jay joined the conversation, getting bored of the endless formulas on the white board.
"A bunch of people but this guy: Antler Jade, is gaining popularity." Lloyd shrugged. "He claims that he would get rid of taxes.I guess he doesn't know that-that is how he gets paid."
The small group broke out in a small fit of laughter, unable to contain themselves at the thought of Angler's stupidity.
"Is there a joke that the rest of the class missed?" Mr. Tron said, facing the group in the back with an angry expression.
"Um, no sir," Lloyd mumbled, fiddling with his pencil.
"Then, what are you three discussing that is more important than trigonometry?" M. Tyron sneered. His arms folded over his chest as he aired for an answer.
"The upcoming election?" Lloyd answered, but it came out more as a question.
"Interesting. Your father is running again isn't he?" Mr. Tyron questioned. Lloyd nodded. "Well, he's got my vote. That Angler Jade seems to have no idea what he's talking about."
