Jay mashed his controller buttons, yelling at his game partner, Cole, as they were swamped with Zombie-Robo-Cats.

"GET THE CATS ON THE LEFT!" Jay yelled into his mic, reloading his gun.

"OMG! THE LEFT NOT THE FRONT!" Jay screamed, shooting the Zombie-Robot-Cats in front of him.

"OH MY-"

"Jay will you stop yelling for a second," Libber, Jay's mom, said, opening Jay's door. Jay turned to face his mother after moving his head mic up.

"Uh yeah," He said, before switching his mic back on. "Cole, I'll play with you later, my mom wants to talk to me."

Jay switched the game on before taking his headphones off. "What's up?"

Libber entered the room, her hands grazing over a lacrosse trophy from last year's sport season. "When does your lacrosse start?"

Jay noticed his mom was beating around the bush. "October fourth,"

"Oh so next week," She sighed, sitting down on his bed lightly.

"What is it?" Jay asked, noticing his mom's sadness. Libber shot Jay a sad glance.

"Me and your father got huge roles in a new movie," She started, her face grim.

"That's great, right?" Jay applauded, unsure of where this was going.

"Yes, but the thing is," Libber took a pause, straightening out the wrinkles of Jay's comforter. "We have to shoot it abroad for the next four months,"

"You guys are leaving for four months?" Jay questioned, making sure he heard what she said the first time.

"We get a couple of breaks, like for your birthday, thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years." Liiber said, trying to deescalate the situation.

"And you guys accepted it?" Jay asked, hurt. Libber put an arm on his shoulder, trying to calm him down.

"We have a contract, we couldn't decline and this will be the peak of our career!" Libber said cheerfully. Jay's face was down and his hands were curled into fists.

"Now I understand how Cole feels like when his parents go on tour," Jay muttered, not facing his mom.

"Oh sparky," Libber comforted. Sparky was an old nickname his mom called him. It originated from his sparky personality and love for lightning.

"Stop. Who will be watching me while you're gone," Jay questioned, still not facing his mom.

"Why would you think someone would come to stay with you?" Libber asked.

"You guys do not trust me to man the house for a weekend, let alone four months," Jay joked, feeling less angry. Libber smiled at his change of heart.

"Ed and Edna will be staying," Libber answered. Ed and Edna were Jay's godparents. They were the Gordon's closest friends and were also happy to take care of Jay.

"Well, thats not so bad I guess," Jay mumbled, trying to grasp the situation. Libby smiled at Jay's understandment.

"Well, I don't wan to bother you too much. So you can continue your game there," Libber said, kissing Jay's forehead before leaving his room, shutting the door on the way out.

Jay wasn't in the mood for videogames. He slumped back, his back laying flat on his covers as he stared at his blue ceiling. Cole wouldn't pick up anyway, he was getting ready for his date.

Jay picked up his phone, it was 6:30. Nya would be making dinner by now. He could call her and she would pick up. Jay dialed her phone number, thoughts swirling through his head.
