"Your mother is going to be so mad," Garmadon spoke to Lloyd as the two guys drove home from the police station. Garmadon's status as mayor might have influenced Lloyd's punishment, turning a 30-day community service into a mere warning. This was the reason why Lloyd called Garmadon instead of his mother when the police officers asked him to get a parent to pick him up. If anything his mom would make the officers add to his punishment.
"Well, I didn't even do anything, and besides you're the one who let me go," Lloyd pointed out.
"Oh great. Now we are blaming me." Garmadon scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"Take it as compensation for when I reminded you about you and Mom's anniversary that you are incapable of remembering," Lloyd suggested. "Also, what can she do to you? She can't ground you or anything."
"True, but the guest room is being redone and I do not want to sleep on a couch that recently recovered from an ant infestation." Garmadon retorted. "And besides, I actually would like if my wife talked to me."
"Oh come on just this once. Take the blame for me.. Please." Lloyd said, making the most puppy-eye-ist puppy eye in puppy eyes existence.
"I thought only five-year-old children did that," Garmadon said, taking a small glance at Lloyd how frowned.
"Desperate times call for desperate measures, and I'm desperate. If you don't take the blame, I'll miss Jay's party in two weeks because I'd be grounded for the rest of my teenage life, and probably some of my adult life too." Lloyd said pulling his hands down his face.
"Fine, fine, just this once. I'll deal with your mother." Garmadon answered. Lloyd practically bounced out of his seat in joy. Garmadon rolled his eyes with a small smile. Though, the smile dropped as he pulled into his drive way.
Koko, angrier than ever, stood at the front steps, hands on her hips with the most scowliest scowl known to man.
"Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon," koko spoke through gritted teeth as she walked-stomped-over to the now parked car. Lloyd's face fell as he looked at Garmadon who unlocked Lloyd's door from his side.
"You got to be kidding me," Lloyd said before Koko yanked him out of the car in fury. She pulled him up the steps and into the house before slamming the front door, ignoring Garmadon who was still in the car with a smirk on his face.
"He really thought i was on his side?" Garmadon chuckled to himself before unbuckling his seat belt and exiting his car.
