"Come on, pick up pick up pick up," Seliel muttered, standing infront of her bright phone. She had quite the dilemma at the moment. Cole was going to pick her up in thirty minutes and she hadn't picked an outfit yet.

Finally, the endless buzzing stopped and Tatyanna's face lit up the screen.

"Girl whats up. Why you blowing up my phone," Tatyanna, Seliel's best friend from Nom, said. Seliel let out a sigh of relief before moving closer to the phone.

"I need help for a date dress," She blurted quickly. Tatyanna's face grew in a smile that lit up her brown eyes.

"When, where. Who, How WHY??" She bursted, questioned flying out of her mouth.

"Can't explain. Concert date in thirty minutes, dressy casual, or dressy fancy?" Seliel said, putting two different outfits in front of the camera for Tatyanna to decided.

"Third option. Fancy Casual," Taytanna answered after taking the decision into deep consideration.

"Oh you're right," Seliel dashed into her closet, throwing clothes all over her room while looking for the perfect dress.

"Im always right," Tatyanna said smuggly, watching her friends empty her closet. After a few minutes of searching Seliel popped back into frame with the perfect Fancy Casual outfit: Knee length off the shoulder short sleeve black dress with blue and pink accents, shin length black combat boots, thick hoop earings and gold bracelet.

"Is this good?" Seliel said, once the outfit was on. She gave Tatyanna a little spin.

"Yes, perfect! This guy is going to love you!" Tatyanna squealed. "Quick do your makeup you got 10 minutes." Seliel made her way to her bathroom, bring her phone with her.

"Natural or full?" She asked, picking up the eyelashes from their container.

"Full for the outsides, nature for the insides." Tatyanna replied. Seliel nodded, only adding the longer eyelashes to the outside corners of her eye lids.

"Light blush, dark brown lip with dark brown liner," Tatyanna commanded. She was always better at make up and clothing decisions between the two.

"Light blush, you aren't white so you shouldn't add to much," Tatyanna laughed as Seliel placed two strokes of blush power onto both cheeks.

"And I'm done. I'll tell you how it goes." Seliel said, sending a virtual kiss before turning off the facetime call.

After grabbing her pursea and everything she needed in the purse, she went downstairsand was met with an amazingly dressed Cole chatting with Mrs. Humbler.

"Wow you look beautiful," Cole said, admiring Seliel. Seliel smiled embarrassed, walking ot of the door that Cole was holding.

"Bring her back by ten please" Mrs. Humber called, once the two kids were in Cole's car.

The car ride to the concert was anything but awkward. They chatted about music, and school and absent parents. Seliel left out that she hadn't seen her mother is 4 years, and Cole didn't mention the pressure he wasunder with his parents- well Dad- nagging him out his 'singing career'. There were pauses, and moments of silence in their conversations but they weren't awkward. They say that when two people can sit in silence without feeling weird, they were meant to be. But, that's not true. Is it?

They arrived at the concert venue right on time, since the line was already moving when they joined it. They got their tickets stamped and were lead to their seats. Because of Cole's parents' connections, the two got front row seats to enjoy the show.

When Jackie came out to perform, fans were standing on their feet and were cheering loudly as he got set up.

"I'm so excited, this is my first time seeing him live," Seliel admitted, bouncing like a little girl.

"Really? Well it won't be your last," Cole replied, hinting at a second or third date. Seliel's heart fluttered.

Jackie started off with a slow but smooth Jazz song with his saxophone. The recorded versions of his songs were nothing like the pure heaven pouring out of the saxophone holes. A couple of fans around Cole and Seliel broke into tears because of the sweet sound.

The song was over after a pure four minutes and Jackie switched to his voice singing 'The Times We'll Have' written by him of course. His sweet wods and whispers of love and future made Seliel wish for the things he was speaking of. The two swayed to music in their chairs, happily and calmly letting the sounds flow in and out of their ears.

Jackie's next song was on the Saxaphone. It was more upbeat and a couple Jazz dancers came out to perform.

"My dad danced for Jackie with a girl named Alicia once, a couple years back," Cole remembered. Seliel turned.

"Alicia Grace?" She asked. Cole nodded. "That was my mom!"

"Woah, small world ain't it?" Cole joked. Seliel laughed an smiled, turning back to the performance.

The next couple of songs were a mix of sad romance and smoothness. During one of the songs Cole manage to slip his arm around Seliel, pulling her closer to him. She didn't mind of course, this gesture sent buter flies to her stomach and heart as she leaned her head against his shoulder.

The second to last song had to be Jackie's best. There was singing and dancing and saxophone and piano and an entire orchestra.

Cole's phone vibrated against his leg. "Thought I put this on silent," He said, checking his phone. It was his dad calling him. He turned to Seliel, "Gotta take this, if it is my dad then it's important."

Seliel nodded, and Cole dashed off to the outside of the building.

"Hello," Cole said, picking up the phone once he reached outside.

"Thank goodness you responded, are you busy?" Lou sighed in relief on the other line.

"I'm at the concert with my date, so kinda?" Cole responded. He could hear Lou mutter something to himself.

"Can you pick me and your mother up from the airport in like an hour," Lou asked, desperately.

"Why? Did your tour end early?" Cole asked, pacing on the side, walk his hand in his pocket.

"Kinda," Lou answered, not giving anything way.

"Well, what happened?" Cole inquired, losing his patience.

"Your mother fainted a couple of times during our shows. We went to a doctor and um," Loud sighed before clearing his throat.

"And what?" Cole asked.

"They ran some tests and the thing that's causing her fainting is," Lou took a pause, his voice seemed to give out. "Cancer."
