Sunghoon & Nari
Sunghoon and Nari were back home, the warm glow of the kitchen lights casting a cozy ambiance over the room. Nari was at the stove, stirring a pot of pasta, while Sunghoon attempted to help by chopping vegetables, albeit clumsily.
"Careful with that knife, Sunghoon," Nari said, glancing over her shoulder. "I don't need you losing a finger tonight."
Sunghoon chuckled, concentrating on his task. "No worries, I've got this. Plus, I have an excellent nurse if anything goes wrong."
Nari rolled her eyes playfully. "I'm a journalist, not a nurse. But sure, I'll bandage you up if needed."
As they continued cooking, Sunghoon tried to sprinkle in some humor. "You know, I once made ramen so bad even my dog refused to eat it."
Nari laughed, shaking her head. "That's impressive, considering how much dogs love food. Remind me not to let you near the stove unsupervised."
Sunghoon pretended to pout. "Hey, I'm a quick learner! Just give me a few more lessons."
After a while, dinner was ready. They set the table together, Nari lighting a few candles to add a romantic touch. As they sat down to eat, Sunghoon looked a little nervous.
"Nari, there's something I need to talk to you about," he started, picking at his food.
Nari raised an eyebrow, curious. "What is it?"
Sunghoon took a deep breath. "I need to go back to Chicago for a bit. I have to move out of my apartment, cancel my lease, and take care of a few things before I officially move here."
Nari put down her fork, her expression softening. "Oh, I see. How long do you think you'll be gone?"
"Just a couple of weeks, hopefully. I was nervous to tell you because I didn't want you to think I was leaving for good," Sunghoon explained, his eyes searching hers for reassurance.
Nari reached across the table, taking his hand in hers. "Sunghoon, I trust you. Of course, I'll miss you a ton, but I understand you need to take care of things there. We'll make it work."
Sunghoon smiled, relieved. "Thank you, Nari. That means a lot."
After dinner, Sunghoon stood up and, in a playful gesture, scooped Nari up into his arms. She squealed in surprise, laughing as he carried her towards the bedroom.
"Sunghoon, what are you doing?" she asked, her arms wrapped around his neck.
"I'm taking you to bed, of course," he replied with a cheeky grin. "It's part of the service."
Nari giggled. "Oh, is that so? What else does this service include?"
He gently placed her on the bed, leaning down to kiss her softly. "An amazing night with lots of sweet kisses," he murmured against her lips.
