Sunghoon & Nari

Sunghoon and Nari had been planning how to announce their engagement to their friends for days, and they were both excited yet a little nervous. They decided that Bora, Haneul, and Jake had to be the first ones to know since they were basically family. So, they invited them over for a dinner that promised a big surprise.

The night of the dinner arrived. Nari was pacing around the living room, nervously fiddling with the diamond ring on her finger. "Do you think they'll freak out?" she asked Sunghoon, who was casually leaning against the kitchen counter, scrolling through his phone.

He smirked, not taking his eyes off the screen. "Oh, Bora's going to lose her mind. Haneul will probably cry, and Jake? He's definitely going to pretend he's not surprised, but we all know he's been waiting for this."

Nari chuckled, already imagining Bora's high-pitched scream. "I can't wait to see their faces," she said with a grin.

Just then, the doorbell rang. Nari's heart did a little flip as Sunghoon pushed off from the counter. "Showtime," he whispered with a wink.

They opened the door to see Bora, Haneul, and Jake standing there, all smiles. Bora was holding a bottle of wine, while Jake was already eyeing the food laid out on the dining table. "Hey, lovebirds! You're glowing more than usual. What's the secret?" Bora teased, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.

Sunghoon and Nari exchanged a quick look, barely holding back their excitement. "Come in, come in," Nari said, leading them into the cozy living room.

As they settled down, Jake immediately went for the snacks on the coffee table. "I see you didn't skimp on the cheese platter. I'm impressed, Sunghoon."

Sunghoon shot him a playful glare. "You know I had nothing to do with that. All credit goes to your future sister-in-law." His words were laced with a hint of the surprise they were about to reveal.

Jake's hand paused mid-reach for a piece of cheese. "Future sister-in-law?" he repeated, raising an eyebrow.

Bora, who had been halfway through pouring herself a glass of wine, nearly spilled it. "Wait, hold on. What did you just say?"

Haneul was the first to catch on, his eyes widening as he looked between Sunghoon and Nari. "No way... are you guys engaged?" he asked, his voice a mix of excitement and disbelief.

Sunghoon couldn't hold back his grin anymore. He took Nari's hand and gently lifted it, showing off the sparkling engagement ring. "You're looking at the future Mrs. Park," he announced proudly.

The room erupted into chaos. Bora screamed so loud that Sunghoon flinched, nearly dropping Nari's hand. "Oh my God! I knew it! I freaking knew it!" she shrieked, jumping up from her seat and launching herself at Nari in a bone-crushing hug. "When? How? Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
