Sunghoon & Nari

The soft hum of ocean waves against the shore filled the air, a soothing melody that blended perfectly with the warm tropical breeze. Nari sat on the edge of their bungalow's porch, her legs dangling lazily over the edge, toes barely brushing the soft sand beneath her. The sun had started its slow descent, painting the sky with hues of pink, lavender, and gold. Everything felt perfect—except for the fact that Sunghoon had disappeared into the bungalow about ten minutes ago with some kind of grand plan.

"Sunghoon, what are you doing?" she called over her shoulder, half-expecting him to come out wearing a ridiculous hat or holding something impractical like a coconut carved into a swan.

"Hold on, it's a surprise!" His voice was muffled but brimming with excitement.

She sighed, fighting back a grin. Knowing Sunghoon, this surprise could go one of two ways—either it would be something adorable, like him finding a bottle of champagne to share as they watched the sunset together, or...well, let's just say she wouldn't be shocked if it involved some kind of bad joke about fish or seashells.

Finally, the door slid open, and Sunghoon emerged triumphantly, carrying two tall glasses with little umbrellas stuck into them, an over-the-top flourish to his step. "Behold! Tropical drinks, prepared by none other than your loving husband." He handed her one, grinning as if he'd just conquered Mount Everest.

Nari raised an eyebrow, taking the glass from him and inspecting it. "Did you steal these from the minibar? Please tell me you didn't try to make these yourself."

He held up a hand in mock offense. "How dare you! This is a carefully crafted masterpiece. I spent a solid two minutes stirring it. I even added extra ice because I know you're a 'cold drinks must be cold' person."

Nari chuckled, taking a sip. It wasn't bad—fruity, with a hint of coconut, and just strong enough to make her cheeks warm after a few sips. "Alright, you've won me over," she admitted, leaning back on her hands as she let the drink cool her down in the tropical heat. "Not bad for two minutes of work."

Sunghoon plopped down next to her, stretching his legs out with a contented sigh. "I know, right? They should hire me at the bar. I'm clearly wasting my potential."

Nari nudged him with her elbow. "Or maybe you're just good at mixing drinks when there's no pressure and only one customer."

"Oh, trust me," he said, leaning closer and lowering his voice conspiratorially, "I'd crumble under pressure. I'm just here to impress my very demanding and beautiful wife."

She rolled her eyes but couldn't help but laugh. "Nice save."

They fell into a comfortable silence, the sound of the waves and the distant chatter of other vacationers blending into the background. The sky was starting to deepen into a rich purple, and the stars were slowly beginning to peek through the blanket of dusk.
