Sunghoon & Nari
The same day, after their heartfelt conversation, Sunghoon and Nari found comfort in their familiar routine of video chatting. Sunghoon, who was still in the middle of packing his Chicago apartment, decided to cook himself dinner. He set up his phone on the kitchen counter, angling the camera just right so Nari could see his culinary progress.
As Nari answered the FaceTime call, her face lit up with a warm smile. "Hey, you," she greeted, her voice soft and affectionate.
Sunghoon, in a casual shirt and glasses, grinned back at her. "Hey! Look at you, all bright and cheery. How was your day?"
"Busy, as always," Nari said, her eyes wandering over Sunghoon's frame. "But seeing you now? It makes everything better. You look really good today, you know. The glasses are a nice touch."
Sunghoon chuckled, stirring his pot of pasta. "Oh, so you're into the 'cooking nerd' look, huh? I must admit, I do feel a bit like a high school science teacher with these on."
Nari laughed. "Well, you make it look good. And you're killing it with the cooking. What's on the menu tonight?"
"Just some spaghetti," Sunghoon said, giving her a wink. "Nothing too fancy, but I promise it'll taste great. You know, I have a secret ingredient."
"Oh, really?" Nari leaned in closer to the screen, playfully intrigued. "Is it magic? Or are you just trying to impress me with your culinary skills?"
Sunghoon stirred the pot again and then pulled out a tiny jar of spices. "It's all about the spices, baby. And a pinch of love."
"Aw, look at you, all romantic and shit," Nari teased. "I'm really lucky you're cooking for yourself. I mean, if I were there, I'd be tempted to sneak in a bite."
"Tempted, huh?" Sunghoon smirked. "Well, if you were here, I'd definitely be cooking up more than just dinner. I'd be cooking up something else entirely."
Nari's eyes widened, and she grinned. "Oh? And what's that?"
Sunghoon's voice took on a mischievous tone. "Well, I was thinking maybe some late-night snacks... and a dessert you might enjoy."
"Dessert?" Nari raised an eyebrow. "What kind of dessert are we talking about? Because I'm pretty sure you're not talking about tiramisu."
"You caught me," Sunghoon said, his grin widening. "I was actually thinking of something a bit more... personal. But you'll have to use your imagination."
Nari giggled, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Ooh, you're full of surprises. And here I thought you were just going to make me drool over your cooking."
"Hey, if you're drooling, it means I'm doing something right," Sunghoon said with a wink. "And speaking of doing something right, tell me about your day. Anything fun happen?"
