Sunghoon
Sunghoon stood in the garden, sipping his beer and observing the people around him. He saw couples in love, sitting close together, listening to music, hugging, smiling, and laughing. The atmosphere was warm and filled with a sense of belonging. He felt a pang in his heart, realizing how deep his feelings for Nari were.
As he looked around, he noticed Bora tapping Jake's shoulder, trying to get his attention. Just as their conversation started, Haneul interrupted and dragged Bora away, stopping their interaction. Sunghoon watched as Haneul took Bora to the side, their argument escalating until Bora angrily stormed off.
Curious and concerned, Sunghoon approached Bora, putting his arm around her in a comforting gesture. She smiled at him, but her expression turned puzzled when he asked, "Why are you marrying him?" His tone was serious, not like the playful teasing he'd done before.
"Huh?" she let out, confused.
"I saw how jealous he got when you went to talk to Jake," Sunghoon continued, his eyes searching hers. "You're sure about this?"
Bora furrowed her eyebrows, gently taking his arm off her shoulders to face him. "Hoon, I wasn't going to talk to Jake. I went there to slap him. He's spent two million in two days. One million on booze and one million in poker, which Haneul just paid off."
Sunghoon's eyes widened in shock. "He wasn't jealous?"
"No," Bora sighed. "He was just stopping me from insulting Jake."
Sunghoon nodded, processing her words as she looked ahead. After a moment, he asked, "So, you're not in love with Jake anymore?"
Bora's eyebrows furrowed in confusion before she sighed again, this time more deeply. "You knew about it?"
"Everybody knew," Sunghoon replied, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Except that idiot Jake."
Bora chuckled softly, her gaze distant as she reminisced. "Yeah, I was. But you know, Jake was never in that relationship. It was just me... alone. But with Haneul..." She chuckled, a wide smile spreading across her face. "How do I explain it? Before I met him, I was fine, everything was fine. But now that we've met, I realize I can be happy too."
Sunghoon smiled warmly at her, thinking about how it was exactly how he felt with Nari. Bora continued, her voice soft and filled with emotion, "It's simple. With certain people... things just seem better by spending time with them."
The conversation ended, and Bora left Sunghoon alone with his thoughts. He loved Moon Nari.
As he stood there, memories of Nari flooded his mind. He remembered the way she laughed, the sound like a melody that brightened his day. He recalled the way her eyes sparkled with mischief whenever she teased him, the warmth of her smile that could melt his heart.
"God, she's beautiful," Sunghoon thought, a soft smile forming on his lips. "Not just on the outside, but inside too. The way she cares about everyone, always putting others first. How she stood by me when I was at my lowest, never giving up on me. And the way she makes me feel... like I'm the only person in the world that matters."
He chuckled to himself, shaking his head. "I'm such an idiot. How did I not see it before? I've been in love with her all along."
Sunghoon's thoughts were a whirlwind of emotions. "I love the way she challenges me, pushes me to be better. I love how she's not afraid to speak her mind, how she stands her ground. I love her passion, her drive, her kindness. Everything about her is perfect."
He took another sip of his beer, feeling a sense of clarity. "I need to tell her. I need to let her know how I feel. I can't keep this to myself any longer."
Sunghoon's heart swelled with determination. He would find Nari and tell her everything. No more hiding, no more pretending. He loved her, and she needed to know.

Sunghoon smiled after talking with Bora and watching her and Haneul make up, hugging each other with wide smiles. He was beyond happy for his friend. Bora deserved all the happiness in the world. After they made up, they headed back to chat with their friends and family. Haneul noticed Sunghoon on the side, drinking his beer, and gestured for him to come over. Sunghoon smiled and nodded, telling them he'd join them in some time.
Seeing a waiter nearby holding a tray with drinks, Sunghoon grabbed two and headed off to find Nari. For the first time in a long while, there was hope in his eyes. He was smiling, thinking of how it would go as he walked off to find her. He saw her sitting on a bench near the fountain outside the hotel, the area pretty and not crowded, alone with her feet in the water just like they had the first night he was here.
His eyes then landed on a person walking up to her, handing her a drink as he said, "The night sky is beautiful, isn't it?" The random guy smiled at Nari, and she replied, "It truly is."
Nari and the guy had not yet noticed Sunghoon's presence. His face dropped, and all he felt was anger. The guy's face eventually landed on Sunghoon, confused as to why he was standing there. The guy asked, "Are you looking for something?"
Nari turned her body and head, seeing Sunghoon. Her smiling face from before now held a serious expression. She could tell how angry Sunghoon felt just by looking at him—his eyebrows furrowed, his jaw clenching, his look icy. He made eye contact with Nari as she was still sitting and asked coldly, completely ignoring the guy, "Who is this?"
Nari replied, "Uh... This is Jay. He's here to take photos for the wedding." Jay smiled at Nari and, right after she finished talking, said, "And to meet Nari," handing her the drink, and she took it.
Sunghoon got angrier and more jealous by the second. He then asked her, "Why are you sitting here with him?"
Nari's eyebrows furrowed, and Jay's did too. Jay, who was starting to get irritated by Sunghoon's presence, said, "Who are you?"
Sunghoon made eye contact with Jay as he said, "Get lost," in a rude tone.
Nari scolded, "Sunghoon!"
Jay, confused and irritated, said, "Excuse me?"
Sunghoon repeated himself, still angry, "I said, please, get lost."
Nari, fed up, scolded Sunghoon again, "Sunghoon, stop it!"
Jay then said, "You're being very rude."
Sunghoon lost it and got closer to Jay. Now head-to-head, both were angry, but Sunghoon was more angry and jealous. He said, "Look, this is my best friend's wedding. You're not welcome here."
Jay interrupted him, saying, "Nari has invited me here." He then sat down next to Nari, hoping Sunghoon would leave.
But Sunghoon, fed up, carelessly said, "I'm Nari's boyfriend."
Nari, shocked, turned her head, irritated as to why Sunghoon was acting like this. Sunghoon then continued, saying, "Get lost."
Jay got up, angry, and charged at Sunghoon, only for Nari to get up too and stop them, coming in between as she said, "Guys, stop it! Sunghoon, stop it."
Sunghoon and Jay still glared at each other. Nari then said, "Jay, can you give me five minutes? I'll be right there, okay?"
Jay, still glaring but understanding, left to give them privacy. Sunghoon, still jealous and frustrated, looked at Nari, his anger slowly giving way to the hurt and confusion he felt.
