Jeremiah Duncan stood up from the far table in his sister Keisha's PG County cafe and strutted over to snap off the tv set in the corner of the dining area. He was tired of listening to the hatefulness of Lazarus Jones. And he was especially tired of hearing the man misgender him. Not that it was anything he had not dealt with before ever since he had came out of the closet as a transman. His family had accepted him but even some of them had had difficulty dealing with it all. His ex wife Amanda, who he had loved deeply as Janice and still loved even as Jeremiah , hadn't dealt with it at all except to pack her suitcases and step. He was still looking for another Amanda but a more tolerant one.

" Thank you," said a tall model thin gorgeous light skinned Black woman with stylishly short coal black hair and snapping brown eyes from a nearby table where she drank a cup of peach tea and ate a blueberry muffin. " I can only listen to him so much. "

Jeremiah felt a easy smile coming to his handsome brown face as he strode over to the woman's table. He casually sat down and offered his hand to her. " You have good taste, my fair lady. And you are extremely beautiful. Jeremiah Duncan at your service. I want to buy you dinner. "

The woman smirked at him with a sudden saucy glint appearing in her eyes. " Oh. You're the one on the news. You're representing the cop Faith Lane. I don't agree with Lazarus. I think she is wronged. And not a tool at all. " She took his hand and he marveled over how smooth it was. She looked him straight in his eyes without flinching a bit. " You're better looking in person. I'm a liberated woman though. I want to buy you dinner. " She smiled seductively at him and licked her full plump oddly juicy looking lips. " The name is Bliss Jones. "

Jeremiah lifted an eyebrow at her. He motioned his head towards the silent tv. " Jones? Any relation to......"

Bliss Jones laughed out loud. " Yes. I'm that asshole's sister. But don't hold that against me. I wouldn't want it to interfere with dinner. Tonight. Eight PM. And maybe dessert if you are lucky. "
