Later that night outside Jenessa and Nicholas' large sprawling house in Evergreen Acres Angel parked the car on the street before it. Looking over at Lyle who had been strangely quiet all day , he asked," Are you feeling up to dinner tonight? We can go home. Order in pizza or something? Watch a movie? Whatever you want. "
Lyle sighed. He touched his head slightly. He had had a headache all day long. He couldn't shake it especially the more he thought about the stalker and that weird dream about Richard being in danger. But he didn't want to stay in. Even though some of the dinners hadn't panned out well he greatly enjoyed spending time with their friends. Maybe a night out would help him relax. " No. I'm fine."
He tried to smile but knew it failed to reach his eyes. " I'm ok , darling. It's time for me to stop moping about. As my mother would say. God rest her soul. Let's go eat with our friends. "
Angel laughed and leaned forward to kiss him on the lips lightly. " Wonder what will happen tonight? I swear these dinners are like a soap opera. "
Lyle laughed as well. " They're worse. But I have to admit fun. It livens up a Sunday. "
They were still laughing as they exited the car and saw Andrew, Glory and Alfred exiting Andrew's own car. They waved at them and went over to greet the family with warm hugs.

From further down the street sat a plain faced young man in a nondescript beige car. He watched as his love Lyle and that man Angel Anderson went to talk to the old couple and..... He let out a sudden breath as he saw the man leaning on the walker.
His body was wasted and frail ,yes , but that face..... That extraordinary face...... It was enchanting....... The man was gorgeous in his face. Like an old style Roman soldier almost.
Who was he?
He had to have this man.
Who was he?
He reached for his phone to open the notes app so he could scribble down the license plate for the car he had arrived in.
---------
As they were walking up the long winding pathway to the front door Lyle's phone dinged with a text message. He groaned. Not another one. He pulled out his phone as Angel watched him from his side with a protective hand on his back.
It said," It's been nice, Lyle, but my heart is stolen by another I'm afraid. Have a lovely life".
He lifted an eyebrow as he showed it to Angel. " Do you think," he murmured to Angel," it's finally over? Have I bored him hopefully? "
Angel still looked worried. " Maybe. Or maybe it's just starting for someone else. "
Lyle bit his lip. " I hope not. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. "
Glory knocked at the door just as it was opened by a tall good-looking young man with well cut dark hair who stepped outside the house holding a cigarette and talking to another handsome dark haired man who followed him casually.
Alfred's mouth dropped open in shock. " Scott ! What the hell are you doing here! "
