When Richard saw his father come into the ER waiting room he forgot he was a forty three year old man and ran into his arms. Tears running down his face, he sobbed in his father's arms.
" Dad ," he pleaded as his arms held on for dear life. " Tell me this is not true. "
Andrew was stunned that his son actually remembered him enough to call him dad again. He was grieving enough that he held onto him tightly. " It's going to be okay, son. "
Nigel was feeling weak and shaky but he still held onto his husband from the back.

Glory lit a candle in the hospital chapel and knelt down to pray for her step grandson.

Lyle sat in the hallway outside his classroom, tears flowing down his face. Angel sat beside him, holding his hand. " Lyle, baby, you're in shock. You need to go to the hospital. Please."
Lyle shook his head. " No. I'm fine. She shot him. She shot herself. Why ? Why? "
" I don't know, honey. " Then Angel pulled his husband into his arms.

" Detective Browne , Detective Williams," Gerald said as he talked to them in his office. " I will cooperate totally with your investigation. I want to know where that child got the gun. "

Nicholas and Matilda watched each other with caution as they took Richie and Rebecca out for ice cream they refused to eat.
" We need to get Tanisha from her school too ," Matilda said just as Richie snapped," Nah. You need to take us to the hospital. Lewis is hurt ! He got shot ! "

Lewis Norland was unconscious on the operating table as the doctors and nurses strived to remove the bullet from his chest.

Zipp and Flower Dennis listened to the ER doctor telling them that their daughter at thirteen was dead on arrival.
Flower turned to her husband and slapped him across his face. " You let her play with that girl Zora Mayfield ! This is all Zora's fault ! You never listen to me! I hate you! I'm not keeping your secret anymore! I hate you ! "
Then she ran out of the hospital as Zipp collapsed into a waiting room chair and cried.

Zora was texted by Kyle what had happened. She read the texts and then laughed.

Jas and Devin Lucas arrived at the hospital at the same time as Joy , Faith, Spencer and DuBuis.
Faith stopped outside the hospital and looked up heavenward. She wondered why the world was so violent. Even to the babies out there.
