" I have an issue with that repulsive girl," Elizabeth Samson said in a quiet meek and very mild voice as she sat in the chair opposite Gerald's desk. Her brown hair was pulled upwards in a severe almost nunlike bun. Her brown eyes were lowered self consciously to the carpet. She wore a mud brown colored pullover sweater and an ankle length skirt over long black leather boots.

Gerald lifted an eyebrow at her curiously. " And this repulsive girl would be, ma'am? "

Elizabeth lifted her gaze slightly from the floor. " The married one. What kind of a school allows a sixteen year old girl to marry a seventeen year old boy? And she is pregnant. How unfortunate. "

Gerald felt a headache coming on. As soon as this woman was gone he was heading to the clinic for two aspirin. And yes he knew exactly what she was talking about. Mary Swan. Mary Swan Norland. He disapproved of that situation as well but what could he or the school do about it without it backfiring on them ?

He told her that as well although he chose to use more tactful and discreet wording. She didn't care for his reasoning.

" That is not a good thing for a man responsible for the well being of youthful people to be saying. I thought you had a better moral stance about you , sir. That girl should not be walking around the school proudly. What if other high school girls see her? Or the middle school ones ? What if they too decide to be with child as well? This is a dangerous situation. "

Gerald sighed and held his head. " This is why we have a sexual education program which is taught by our nurse Austin Anderson who is a highly trained RN. We also touch on the subject in our health education classes which is taught by Dr. DuBuis Lane. "

She shook her head vehemently. " That is my next concern, sir. My husband and I don't agree with the teaching of sex in the school. That is a topic strictly for the home and the parents. Our son Kyle tells us that nurse showed them things like condoms and...... sexual....toys in class. Repulsive. The man should be replaced. What type of person is he? Although I hear he is married to the science teacher who is a man. That's another thing. Kyle said last year that man was teaching them about climate change in science. Why are you allowing teachers to teach hoaxes but nothing about the bible and how life really came to be? "

Gerald needed to see Alfred right now. Too bad his partner was teaching at the moment and he was stranded , trapped, with this woman. For the first time ever in his academic life he wondered if he was too young to retire.
