Back at the dorms, I was texting Jeff.

So... how have your classes been? Are they too easy for you?

I sent.

Nah. But I bet they're easy for someone as amazing as you.

I rolled my eyes at Jeff's response, but then I realized I was blushing. Oh shit. I think I'm starting to like him back...

Hm... if you say so.

I paused. For once in my life, I wasn't sure what to say.

Well, now that we're settled into school, I was wondering if you would want to go somewhere to eat dinner tomorrow?

I smirked.

Are you asking me on a date?

He responded only seconds later.

...Maybe

A smile spread across my face, and I could tell Ella was looking at me weirdly from her bed. "Are you texting Jeff?" I grinned. "Possibly. Why do you care?" Ella rolled her eyes. "Oh come on, don't you remember when you harassed me over that guy I liked freshman year of high school? This is vengeance." We both burst out into laughter. "Oh... good memories," I joked.

My classes went by slowly, as always. I worked on a project where I had to design a car for engineering, which was fun, but I was desperately waiting for 5:00, when I would meet Jeff for dinner. We were going out since we were allowed to for dinner, as well as lunch and breakfast on weekends. When the time finally came, I met up with Jeff outside of campus. "Hey," he greeted, smirking when he saw me. "Hi," I greeted back, still without my usual sassy tone. We got into his car and he started to drive.

     Once we got there, it was surprisingly lighthearted and fun. Jeff didn't let down his guard, though. "So," He said with a glint in his eyes. "How has college been so far?" I paused to take a sip of my coke. "Oh, fine," I replied, then looked up at him. "It's great to get to meet new people." He smirked. "I'd think that's been my favorite part so far." He paused, then added. "That reminds me, what are you majoring in?" I smiled. "Engineering. What about you?" Jeff nodded. "You seem like that type of girl... I'm majoring in law. That's why I have a class with your sister." Psychology and the Law, right? I thought. "Yeah. Be nice to her. I know she can be a bit much at times, with her good memory and discipline, but she's a great person. Also, don't tell her I said that." Jeff laughed. "Don't worry, I won't." We continued eating and talking to each other, and the time passed by quickly. My eyebrows shot up when I looked at my phone and realized it was already 7:00 P.M. "Oh, sorry Jeff, but we should probably go. I have a ton of homework, and Ella will be mad if I get home too late," I said, standing up quickly. Jeff shrugged and got up as well. "Alright then. We should do this again, though." A smile spread across my face. "Yeah, we should."

~~~
     "How was it?" Ella asked when I got to the room. "So good that you had to come back so late?" I rolled my eyes. "Seven isn't late," I reminded her, which made her scoff. "When we have to get up at five o-clock every morning, yes it is. You still have homework to do." I chuckled. "I suppose you're right. But I can work quickly." Apparently, I was wrong. It was ten by the time I finished all of my homework and I knew I was going to be exhausted the next morning. I still shrugged it off. At least I got to spend time with Jeff. He's... actually really nice. I thought, then smiled. Well, nice might not be the correct word for it, but I do like him. After that I drifted off to sleep.
