We got up around 9:00. I texted Lilly asking if she and Amelia wanted to hang out with me, Jake, Jamie, Liam, and Jeff. She agreed to meet us in the food court at 9:45. After we got our breakfast we sat in the courtyard together. "Where are we going to go today?" Amelia asked. "I figured that we could go to our apartment," I said, glancing at Jamie and Jake. They both nodded. "Is it big enough for all of us?" Liam asked. Jamie smiled. "Definitely. We all got full rides here, so we spent much of our college savings in order to get a nice one." I could tell that Jake was silently planning everything. "We can have lunch there and play some games if you guys want. We can go out to dinner again. Does that sound good to everyone?" Everybody nodded. Before long, we all got into Liam's car again. Jake told him the address of our apartment building. The car had three seats in the middle and two in the back, so there was just enough room for all of us. I sat in the back with Lilly. Amelia, Jake, and Jamie sat in the middle. Jeff and Liam were in the front. "Thanks for inviting us," Lilly said. "Of course! This is sure to be a lot of fun." I responded. We spent the time telling each other funny stories. "Jamie and I grew up with Jake. He was our next door neighbor and our parents were close friends during high school. We stayed the night at his house several times. He almost always fell asleep first, usually on the floor. Once, when I was eight, Jamie and I caught him talking in his sleep. I can't remember exactly what he said. Anyway, he had a bit of a crush on a girl in his class. You know what nine year old boys are like. He was dreaming about her! He even started kissing the floor." We started giggling. Jake looked back at us. "Must you share these embarrassing stories, Ella?" He asked with a sigh. "I truly must," I replied. Soon after, we arrived. Jeff whistled when he saw the apartment. "You're right. This is really nice." I immediately went to the closet where we kept our games. "Do you guys want to play Sorry?" I paused for a moment then leaned in. "Jamie cheats." Jamie smacked my arm. "No I don't. I am just better at it than you are. I am the queen of Sorry." Jeff raised his eyebrows. "I have been told that I am the king of Sorry." Jamie smiled. "Well, we should test that out. We have two sets, so we can all play. Four on one board and three on the other." He grinned. "You're on." I grabbed both boxes then brought them over to the two medium-sized tables in the living room. "Who wants to play with who?" I asked while setting a board on each table. "I will play with Liam and Jamie," Jeff said quickly. It seems like Jeff still doesn't feel completely easy about Jake, I thought. It does, Jamie replied. I smiled. I was thrilled about the fact that we could speak telepathically. Jeff, Jamie, and Liam sat by one table, while Jake, Amelia, Lilly, and I sat at the other. "I have an idea," I said. "The winner of each game should play against each other." Jamie smirked. "That is a perfect way to prove that I am the queen of Sorry." I rolled my eyes. "Whatever. Does that sound good?" Everyone else agreed. Jamie won her game with Jeff close behind. Lilly won mine "Ready to get destroyed?" Jamie said jokingly. Lilly smiled sweetly. "Don't be so sure." We all watched the game closely. At first, Jamie did seem to be quite a bit ahead. "I'm going to win," Jamie said in a sing-song voice when her last piece was getting close to the safety zone. "Once again, don't be so sure." Lilly also had one more piece left, but it wasn't out yet. She picked up a card. At first, she made sure nobody could see it. She slowly and dramatically turned it so that we saw it. It said 'sorry' on it. Ironically, it was in Jamie's handwriting. We had lost one of the cards, so that was one of the extras. Lilly took her last piece out, knocked Jamie's piece out of the way, then put her piece where Jamie's had been. "Sorry," she said innocently. I started laughing hysterically. Jamie still had a shocked look on her face. After a couple more moves, Lilly won the game. "No way. How did you get so lucky?" Jamie asked. Lilly shrugged with a glint in her eye. "What can I say? I'm the queen of Sorry."
