After playing more board games together, we all went out to a cafe for lunch. Once we ate, we planned to go bowling. I decided to sit by Jeff so we were closer together. "That was fun! We should go to one of our dorms later tonight," Lilly suggested. Everyone nodded in agreement. "And no Liam, this does not call for a party," Jeff joked, and they both laughed. Afterwards, we went to the bowling alley.

"Alright, I may not be the queen of Sorry, but I am the Queen of bowling," I promised as I got ready to throw the ball, starting the game. Ella rolled her eyes. "She's the Queen of luck." I gave her a grin, then threw it. Sure enough, it ended up being a spare. "Not bad," Jeff noted, smirking at me as I walked back to the seats. We high fived, then he went up for his turn. As we passed the time, I started to feel more and more at home. It was hard to feel like that when Ella and I were completely on our own in the world. Or so it felt. Halfway through the game, Jeff came up to me. "Hey- I need to tell you something. Would you mind... talking somewhere more private?" He looked around at our friends. "Oh, yeah. That's fine," I said, then we walked over to a secluded spot in the back. Jeff looked me in the eyes. "I was wondering- well, we haven't exactly made things official yet, so I wanted to ask you something..." He paused. I basically never blushed. But at that moment, I was sure my face went bright red. "Jamie Glynn, will you be my girlfriend?" Jeff finished, with a spark in his eyes. A grin spread across my face. "Of course I will!"

Ella could tell something had happened when we got to Jake and Liam's room. They had decided to have us all go there. Ella raised an eyebrow at me as Jeff and I came in, holding hands. Isn't it a little early for that? You guys have known each other for a week, She sent to me. Hey, what can I say! He's a really cool person. Ella looked like she was resisting the urge to roll her eyes. "What game do you guys want to play?" Lilly asked, searching through Liam's games. "Uno? Simple, but fun," Jake suggested. I was about to agree, when I saw a deck of cards. "OR we could play the ultimate game of WAR!" I shouted, pulling them down from the top of the dresser. "Here she goes again," Ella muttered, and Lilly giggled. "It's clearly the best card game," I argued. "Hey, I'm not objecting to it," She said, putting her hands up. Everyone seemed to agree on war. We continued playing games until midnight, when we all panicked and said quick goodbyes, then went back to our own dorms.

When Ella and I got back to the dorm, she immediately questioned me. "Did he just ask you at the bowling alley? I could tell you looked happy after he pulled you away to talk." I nodded. "Yeah. Do you have a problem with that?" I asked. I tried not to sound too on edge. I hated fighting with Ella. Serious fighting, I mean. Ella shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe this is just me, but I would wait longer to get to know the person I like." I rolled my eyes. "Come on, Ella. Remember the guy I dated after knowing him for less than a week? He was very sweet. The only reason we broke up was because he moved away and a long distance relationship would be hard, especially for fifteen year olds." Ella scoffed. "It's not always going to be like that," She reminded me. "If we like each other, we like each other. That's not your problem," I snapped. Ella paled, then turned away. "Sorry, Jamie. You do you. Just be careful."
