I woke up around 1 AM to the sounds of yelling and roars. My blood froze. The screams of pain belonged to Jamie. I bolted upright and practically jumped out of the bed. I ran towards the screams. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw something horrible. Jamie was sprawled out on her stomach and one of her wings was gushing with blood. There was a dragon leaning over her and tending to the wound. Ryoko too was lying down. There wasn't as much blood, but she was missing a scale. On the floor in front of her was a small black orb. "What the hell happened?" I exclaimed. There were tears running down Jamie's face and she was whimpering. "Jake," she whispered, then passed out. I saw red. I wanted to run out as Jamie evidently had. I wanted to find Jake and cuss him out. I wanted to injure him in a way that would make him die slowly and painfully. I started to run towards the exit. Suddenly Lilly and Amelia were there and holding me back. First I fought, but then I collapsed and started sobbing. They both sat down on either side of me and provided silent comfort. I knew Jamie would eventually be okay, but first she would suffer. It was still hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that our former best friend could do this. Soon, Raina, Viserion, and Cadmus ran into the room. Raina said something in Draconic. Ryoko spoke in English. "Speak English, mother. Jamie can't translate." The other dragons nodded. "Foolyish Mundane," Cadmus growled. If I hadn't been so distraught, I would have laughed at his pronunciation. Raina's gaze landed on the black orb. "What that, daughter?" Ryoko shrugged then winced. "The foolyish Mundane called it a rest...rast..." Amelia tensed. "A Rastreador?" Ryoko nodded. "What it do?" I wracked my memory. Suddenly, I remembered Frank's words. "It is similar to the Magic Locator, but more advanced. You can locate any individual person with it. All you have to do is state their name..." I trailed off as all three dragons lunged toward the Rastreador. "Foolyish Mundanes' name Jake, correct?" Viserion asked. "Yes, but-" He cut me off. He turned the Rastreador on and said, "Jake." The blue line appeared. Without another word, the three dragons turned around and walked towards the exit. "Cadmus, please don't leave me!" There was utter despair in Ryoko's voice. Cadmus turned towards her. "Sorry, my love. This foolyish Mundane needs to be taught lesson." With that, the three of them left. Now Ryoko too was crying. She started thrashing and trying to get up. She desperately wanted to stop her mate and parents. The dragons taking care of Jamie and Ryoko's wounds shared a glance and nod. "Sorry, your Majesty," Ryoko's doctor murmured. She grabbed a needle and stuck it into Ryoko. "It just sedative," the doctor reassured us. The other doctor nodded. "You three try get sleep too. We wake you when they wake." I started to protest, but Amelia and Lilly dragged me to my room. They stayed with me until I fell asleep.
