After Jamie and I finished our homework, I texted Lilly and Amelia.
Do you guys want to meet in the food court for dinner before you stay the night in our dorm?
Lilly: That sounds great! 5 minutes?
Amelia: That works for me.
Jamie: Us too.
Jamie and I got ready then went to the food court. "Hey," I said when Lilly and Amelia walked over to us. "Hi. Let's get our food then we can sit in the courtyard as usual." We quickly got our food. I laughed when we sat down. "Look. Jake, Liam, and Jeff are sitting a couple tables away." I paused, squinting. "There's another guy there too. I'm assuming that's Dave?" Amelia nodded. "It is." Jake happened to look up. He waved, causing the others to look up too. "We needed some guy time," Liam called, jokingly. Jamie smirked. "How convenient." I rolled my eyes. "Kind of defeats the purpose if we keep talking to each other." Jeff grinned too. "I can't help it. I feel a strong urge to talk to Jamie constantly. She is my girlfriend, after all." Jamie blushed. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes again. Dave whistled. "Damn, dude. You told me that you couldn't show me a pic of your girlfriend because it wouldn't do her justice. I see you were right." Jamie laughed. I scowled. "I don't think you understand what girl time means. No boys!" With that I turned my back. I winced. "They are probably going to think that I am jealous of the attention Jamie is getting. I'm not. I just... have trust issues." Lilly nodded understandingly. "I get it. When anybody flirts with Amelia..." Amelia grinned. "Are you jealous for a different reason?" Lilly blushed. "Should we tell them?" Amelia nodded. "We are both bisexual. We have been dating for a couple years now." I smiled. "I'm not surprised. The gaydar was totally going off." There was a moment of silence. I looked at Jamie expectantly. Jamie! I sent as loudly as possible. "Oh! Sorry. I'm an ally too." Lilly and Amelia visibly relaxed. "I am so happy that you are supportive. We both lost a lot of friends after coming out," Lilly said. I shook my head, disgusted. "That's so dumb." Amelia nodded. "It is." Jamie smiled. "Let's go to our dorm. We can discuss these things more privately." We all got up. When we walked by the table the guys were sitting at, Jeff opened his mouth to say something. I glared at him, causing him to close it. We sat down on the couches in our dorm room. "Do you guys want to play a game or just talk?" Jamie asked. "Talk," Lilly said after a moment. I smiled. "I'm glad." Lilly and Amelia sat very close together. They looked very happy to be open about their relationship with us. Amelia looked at Jamie. "By the way, how was your date with Jeff?" Jamie's face lit up. "Oh, it was magical." Nice! You set that up great, I sent. "Speaking of which, how do you guys feel about hy-" I was cut off by my phone ringing. I glanced at it. "It's our mom. We better take this." It is a FaceTime. Something must be wrong, I sent. Jamie and I stood up, walked into her bedroom, and shut the door. I picked up. My mother's face was pale and she was in a car I didn't recognize. "Mom, what is wrong?" She tilted her phone to the side. I gasped when I saw my father. He was holding a towel to his arm, which was gushing with blood. "The threats are getting worse."
