The news that a third party would now intervene in the war spread quickly. Cregan Stark informed his Winter Wolves of Daenys's intervention. Lord Frey also informed his people.
In King's Landing, the news was received less favorably. Rhaenyra's enthusiasm was also rather muted in Dragonstone. The lords who followed Rhaenyra suddenly saw a way out, a new opportunity, new hope.
In Dorne, all involved prepared for what was to come. Rhaenys looked at Daenys. "What's the plan?" Daenys then turned to face the others. "I've already sent a letter to Lord Corlys Velaryon informing him that we're on our way. Prince Qoren is still negotiating with the Triarchy. As soon as they're also on our side, he'll notify Lord Velaryon and join us. Aegon and Helaena, you will fly to Highgarden and try to win House Tyrell over to our cause. Rhaenys and Jace, you will go to House Arryn and try to win them over as well. Try to persuade the smaller houses in those regions too. I will fly to House Frey and Cregan and try to find my father at Harrenhal and change his mind."
"Please be careful. We don't know what awaits us, and you're the only one traveling alone." Daenys looked at Helaena. "Please don't worry. The warriors I found in Old Valyria are already on their way to Harrenhal and aren't afraid of dragons. We should go." Everyone present nodded and set off to find their dragons. Once there, the tension was already palpable.
"Be careful and please don't die." "We won't. No one knows what power awaits them." Everyone had to agree with Jace. Since the dragons had stayed in Dorne, they had all grown considerably. Vermax was now almost a bit bigger than Syrax. Meleys had reached the size of Silverwing before she went north. Seasmoke and Sunfyre were a bit smaller than Meleys. Dreamfyre was a bit bigger than Meleys. Vermithor had also grown again, and Silverwing was now slightly bigger than Vhagar. But none of them came close to Meraxes' size.
Meraxes and Sunfyre would remain in Dorne. Shadow had left with Prince Qoren and would travel by ship. Daenys climbed onto Silverwing's back and said goodbye to the others. Then Silverwing and Vermithor set off for the Twins. The flight was calm and uneventful. When Silverwing landed, Daenys was already being awaited by Cregan. "Enys. It's good to see you. We're all ready for your plan." Daenys smiled kindly at Cregan. "It's good to see you too. I hope I've made the right decision." "You have, and we will follow you."
Daenys and Cregan walked to the camp where Lord Frey was also waiting. He bowed. "My Queen." "Lord Frey, I hope everything is prepared." "Yes, we are just waiting for your command." Daenys nodded. "What are you planning?" "I'm going to Harrenhal and speak with my father. Let's see how he reacts." Cregan was proud of what Daenys had accomplished so far and was excited about what the future would hold.
Rhaenys and Jace had also reached their destination. They both decided to first convince some of the smaller houses and then go to Lady Arryn. Aegon and Helaena had also arrived at Highgarden. The advantage the two would exploit was the fact that their mother was a Hightower. They hoped it would help.
After speaking with Lord Frey and Cregan, Daenys set off for Harrenhal with Silverwing and Vermithor. She was eager to see what awaited her there and hoped to change her father's mind.
