The next few days later, the group was at a place that the marines know about. Their time at Washington DC has ended and they were now heading to their next destination, which was the Marine Corps Base Quantico. They had no idea what to expect, but they were eager to see what was in store for them.
The base was massive and intimidating, with sprawling acres of green fields, concrete roads, and imposing buildings. The group was led to a large warehouse, where they were told they would be participating in a simulation training exercise.
Upon entering the warehouse, the group was met with a large, realistic-looking urban environment. The warehouse was divided into multiple sections, each containing its own set of challenges and obstacles.
"Holy crap in a basket," Nora said in awe. "This place is huge!"
Ren nodded, his eyes scanning the complex scene. "It's going to be an interesting challenge, that's for sure."
Sun jumped up, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Yeah, this is gonna be awesome!"
Jaune gulped, a bit nervous about the unknown nature of the simulation. "So, um, what are we supposed to do, exactly?"
Lieutenant General Roy Rodder walked over to the group, his boots echoing loudly against the concrete floor and the marines and Atlas soldiers despite not in uniform saluted the man. He was a big man, built like a bear, with a no-nonsense look on his face. The man was wearing his Woodland MARPAT.
"Good morning, Atlas soldiers, students, and fellow Marines. My name is Lieutenant General Roy Rodder," he said, his gruff voice echoing in the large space. "As you can see, this is the base's state-of-the-art training facility for both USMC and UNE Marines. This place is used to prepare our troops for any mission, anywhere in the world. Today, we'll be doing some urban combat training."
The group listened with rapt attention, eager to get started. But there was one small problem. The students and Atlas soldiers' weapons were scraped and melted down by TSA when they arrived to the country.
Ruby goes back to moaning and groaning about how unfair the TSA was for taking their weapons and that if they have them, it would've been a lot easier and funner. "Yeah, I would've taken out all with Crescent Rose."
Jaune also feels the same about his family weapon that is now in the hands of some TSA Agent. "My sword and shield would've helped a lot too."
"Awww, I would've liked to use my gun and swords too," Blake complained.
"Oh yeah, my shield and spear would've come in handy as well," Pyrrha stated.
"And my hammer would've made this training a lot more fun." Nora grinned.
The other students share their complaints while Winter, Clover, Harriet, Marrow, Elm, and Vine stayed respectfully silent. They all had their complaints and don't know what to say.
"Well, I can see that you are all missing your weapons," General Rodder said.
"That's a problem because it makes our job harder." Coco said.
"Well, we'll make do with these. You can thank the Towson's twin brother's company and the President." General Rodder said as a few marines pushed a few covered carts. They remove the covers showing to the shock of the students and Atlas soldiers.
It was their weapons.
Jaune was the first to pick up his sword and shield. The sword and shield looked shinier like they came out of a forge. So did the others weapons. Jaune began to notice the weight difference between his weapons.
"Whoa! My sword is a bit more heavier and my shield is more... lighter?" Jaune said while he flipped shield up and caught easily.
General Rodder grins at the blonde, "Let's just say we gave you suitable upgrade of your weapon. Your sword is coated in Adamantium. Due to it being heavier, it can cut through nearly anything. Bones, muscle, tissues, other metals, you name it. It'll cut through like a burning knife through butter."
