Chapter 42: Next Steps

[Path of Peace District; Kyoroch]

The Jaegers were all dressed up in the entrance hall, all dressed in formal attire. Wave wore a white dress shirt underneath a black suit jacket that matched the color of his pants, and also wore a white tie around his neck. He looked out of place.

Run was leaning against a pillar, wearing white dress clothes. As always, he was holding a book. 

Wave: Man... Clothes like these really don't suit me! — He comments, awkwardly adjusting his tie. 

Seryu: I'll tell you what! — She complains. 

The redhead was wearing a dark green strapless dress with a lighter band around her stomach. She wore white gloves that went up to her elbows, completely covering her metallic arms.

(Author: Let's be honest, Seryu is very beautiful when she's not with a psycho face, is not her? Come on, I know you agree, despite how much you hate her.)

Seryu: It's like dresses and I aren't meant to be together! — The girl says, looking at her gloved arms.

Run: That looks good on you, Seryu. — He tries to cheer her up, smiling.

Seryu: But if I'm wearing that, I won't be able to fight when I need to... — She mutters, with a pout. 

Esdeath: Well, this is a welcome party. —She says, coming out from behind a scarlet curtain, accompanied by her sister. 

Seryu admires in wonder the sight of her captains in formal clothes. Esdeath wore a yellow dress with black strap sleeves and a gray sash on the torso. Atsuko wore a puffy cyan dress, with an extravagant skirt and fluffy sleeves.
