He was heavy, that was the only thing going through integra's mind as she carried an unconscious Izuku on her back. She managed to get them away from the shore but now they were in the bad side of the 'Slums' where anything can happen, for now no one was outside because of the snowy weather. She could hear sirens coming from the hill that once housed the Pharmaceutical factory that blew up because of Walter's final act as her servant, just the thought of his sacrifice brought a tear to her eyes but she pushed the feelings away and focused on getting themselves a shelter until Izuku woke up.
She came upon some abandoned buildings that still looked livable, so she marched over to it and made sure it was empty before hauling Izuku inside and laid him on the ground. She noticed there was a fire place so she decided to start a fire to keep them warm for the time being, she took off her coat and laid it atop the unconscious body before getting to work on that fire.
Integra searched the house thoroughly and found some old furniture that would burn easily and managed to find a lighter which she used to get the fire going, it took a few tries but she managed to start a fire that would keep them warm for who knows how long. She moved the unconscious Izuku closer to the fire to make sure he wouldn't freeze to death, she sat down next to him and just stared at the fire.
Integra: Why did this have to happen on Christmas off all days?
She thought out loud and hoped for someone to answer her but all she got was silence, until she heard grunting from beside her. She looked over to Izuku who was sweating profusely and fidgeted every few seconds, she placed her palm over his forehead but had to remove it because of how hot he felt.
Integra: Your burning up.
She quickly moved him away from the fire and hastily took off his coat to try and cool down his body but it wasn't enough, she made the decision that his shirt needed to go so she unbuttoned his shirt to reveal numerous scars that littered the entirety of his upper body.
Integra: I need to remember to ask him about these.
She made a mental note and finished taking off his shirt and felt his temperature going down slightly but he was still hot to the touch, she looked for something to help cool him down and found a bucket with a rag conveniently sitting close by.
Integra: That could work.
She grabbed the bucket and filled it with cold water from a tap that still had a working water system, she walked back to him and dipped the rag in the bucket before wringing it out so she could slowly wipe down his body to hopefully cool him down. After a few minutes of dipping and wiping, his temperature was close to being normal so she dipped the rag one last time before placing it on his forehead to hopefully stabilize him.
She picked up both of their coats and searched for their phones so she could call Seras and ask for her to come and fetch them but once she found them, they were already dead because of the water.
Integra: Just my luck, now what?
She sighed before sitting back down and stared at the fire and reflected on the days events, she could still hear Izuku grunting and was wondering what exactly was going on with him.
Mindscape
Izuku found himself standing in an empty void which had nothing but himself, each way he looked was literal darkness as far as the eye can see.
Izuku: This is new.
He picked a random direction and started walking but it felt as if he wasn't moving at all which was odd but also made sense, he realized he was in his head but questioned why it was so empty. He walked for what felt like years with him barely moving from his original spot, he was slowly losing his patients because of the infinite void and was about to scream when he heard a dripping noise.
