Chapter thirty-eight

Aarohi Verma

The classes started as usual and Ishaan and I came back to our dorm. I really didn't want to leave his house, it felt like home after a long. Or maybe I feel home wherever Ishaan is. He even for once told to stay in his house as long as I want, but maybe it's better to stay in dorm as it's easier from here.

I confessed in front of Vaishnavi that I'm falling in love with Ishaan or I'm already in love. Vaishnavi squealed in happiness and she took the credit for that because she almost pushed me to push my insecurities away.

Back in college everyone knows about us, it's like we are the celebrity couple. I was already getting a lot of attentions and now I'm getting more because of Ishaan. And lately Ishaan started posting a lot about us on his social media. It's cute and I love it, but the notifications which bombard my phone are sometimes irritating; not complaining though.

In basketball court everyone calls me 'bhabhi' and no matter how much time I think I will get used to it, but it always make smile and blush a little. I warned everyone not to call me that outside of the court.

And right now I'm getting ready to go to the finals of the tournament. Our team reached to the finals and I'm sure they will win too. As an intern team manager, Vaishnavi and I have to attend the match. I'm wearing Ishaan's jersey because well he is my boyfriend and I'm his girlfriend.

Thinking this brings a smile on my face "Stop smiling like a fool, Aarohi" I said to myself looking at the mirror. After getting completely ready I came out of dorm and went up to the basketball court where everyone was present. Vaishnavi came out at the same time as me.

"Hi, Aaru in love" she called; she started doing this after I confessed in front of her. Sometimes I feel like why I even share with her. But after all she is my only one. But I made her promise not to call me that in front of anyone because I want to say to Ishaan after he wins the finals.

"Hello" I said rolling my eyes at her.

"When do you plan on confessing to him?" she asks.

"After the finals, which will be tonight" I said with a beaming smile on my face.

"I'm so happy for you aaru" she says with a genuine smile on her face. And with that she gave me a side hug and we started walking to basketball court.

When we were about to reach, my phone pinged with a notification. I normally opened up to see a message from unknown number. At first I thought of ignoring it, but another message came from the same number few seconds later.

So out of curiosity I opened to see a video attachment with a text which says 'You should really know what Ishaan does behind your back.' I halted in my path and kept looking at the text for longer than normal. I don't know who this person was, or what they want from me. What they want me to know about Ishaan? Ishaan did something behind my back? No, no he can't do anything like that, he loves me.

Right? The question ponders longer than it should be.

So I opened the attachment to see something which my eyes denied to accept, at first. But after watching over and over again I felt like everything shattered in my life, whatever I built this far. I don't know what to feel. My eyes were getting heavy with tears, everything was blurring out. How could Ishaan do this with me? He told he loves me. Did he actually toy with my feelings?

I was in my thought when someone shook me by my shoulder, grabbing my attention. I looked up to found Vaishnavi and a lone tear escaped my eyes. Her eyes changed into worried and she asked "Aaru? What happened?"
