Alex's P.O.V

I was glad that Cain and Maverick had talked things out. It was hard to see them fight all the time. My parents had their hands full with the boys. I tried to help them out as much as I could. My uncle went into hiding again. It was like the man was avoiding me. I wish I could send him to heaven so my problems would be over. Cain checked up on me two times a day. He was afraid I would neglect my health. My due date was close. I wanted to wrap things up before taking a leave. We had managed to gather all the people the head elder had wronged. It was Maverick's duty to guide the victims.

I was on my way home when Liam called me. He wanted to have lunch with me on the weekend. I had promised to meet the guy, so I agreed. My parents were busy bathing the kids when I arrived home. My mother was hellbent on not hiring a nanny. The family was getting bigger. It was time to do so. I was already looking into applications. I greeted my parents and said, "I'll take it over from here. Why don't you guys go relax?"

Adriel smirked and asked, "Geuss, who enrolled into our school today, Papa?" I chuckled and replied, "Was it your archenemy, Adriel?" Ethan giggled and uttered, "See, Papa knows everything." I had already heard about what was happening at the boy's previous school. People were not happy with the way the principal had treated the students. They wanted their kids in a better school. Adriel pinched Ethan's cheek and stated, "He started bragging about his father again. I'm not the only one who hates him. Ethan finds him repulsive as well. I don't know why the other omegas can't stop gushing about the freak." I ruffled Adriel's hair and said, "Try becoming friends with him, Adriel. Who knows, maybe you will come to like him."

Adriel huffed and replied, "No, thank you. My wolf hates him also." Ethan put his finger on Adriel's mouth and uttered, "Stop it. Daddy's coming. He will punish you if he hears you talking like this." Cain stepped into the room and asked, "What are you guys up to? Dinner is ready. Come downstairs before it gets cold." The boys ran out of the room. I sighed while thinking about Adriel. The boy had inherited some of my traits. He could sense who he could trust. Cain cupped my face and asked, "What's bothering you?" I caressed Cain's cheek and answered, "It's Adriel's attitude towards people. He rejects them too easily." Cain gazed into my eyes and said, "Adriel is a smart boy. He knows who is good for him and his siblings. Our children won't end up with crappy friends like we did."

I remembered my meeting with Liam. I kissed Cain passionately and uttered, "I'm having lunch with Liam this Saturday. Do you want to join me? We can meet him at a remote place if you want." Cain groaned and replied, "I promised the boys and your father to go fishing with them. I don't want to disappoint them." I had forgotten about the whole thing. I apologized to Cain and said, "I'll try to return home early." Cain nodded and stated, "You know he won't show up alone, right?" I kissed my mate's cheek and replied, "Yeah, I'm looking forward to meeting my old friends."

The boys wanted to watch a movie after dinner. Cain and I showered and joined them in the living room. I smiled when I saw the boys clinging to their grandparents. Cain and I put the kids to bed when the movie ended. It was late, so we decided to go to bed as well. Cain kissed my stomach and said, "My mother wants to see the boys. I haven't replied to her yet. What's your opinion on this matter?" I sighed while thinking about the consequences. Cain's mother loved Ethan, but she had never met Adriel. Cain kissed me softly and uttered, "Hey, they won't be going there alone. I'll make sure my mother doesn't fill their heads with nonsense." I nodded and replied, "Okay, but I want my parents to guide them." Cain chuckled and said, "I was thinking about the same thing. She will burn with jealousy when she sees how much the boys love them."

Cain and I fell into deep sleep after that. It was Friday, and Adriel needed to be at school early for a club seminar. Ethan wanted to support his brother, so I took him with me. I helped the boys out of the car and grabbed their bags. Ethan's shoelaces had gotten loose. I crouched down to help the boy to win time. I was startled when a woman called out to me. Levi had already arrived. He was waving like a maniac at the boys. I fixed the boy's hair and uttered, "Go ahead. Grandpa will pick you guys up after school." The boys ran towards Levi. I didn't see Liam or Andrew.

I turned to face the woman and uttered, "Good morning. Can I help you with something?" The woman smiled sheepishly and replied, "Good morning, Mr. Haile. I wanted to ask you something. You see, my son is in the same class as Ethan. Your boys always smell so heavenly, even after gym class. I was curious about what kind of lotions and deodorants you use for the kids." I could sense that the woman meant no harm. I smiled and said, "They are all products from the Barrett company. Try them. They are a little expensive, but they go a long way." The woman sighed in relief and said, "Thank you, sir. I was afraid you wouldn't answer me. I'm Blair Marsden, by the way." I bid Blair farewell and went to work. I had a hectic day and couldn't keep my eyes open when I got home.

I fell asleep on the one-seat sofa in our bedroom. I hummed when I sensed Cain. My mate took my shoes and socks off and began massaging my feet. I cupped Cain's face and kissed him intensely. Cain laughed when I uttered, "May the moon goddess grant everyone a mate like you." Cain kissed me back and asked, "Have you found a nanny?" I shook my head and replied, "It's taking longer than expected. Do you have anyone in mind?" Cain contemplated and said, "Maverick suggested we use someone from his pack. I don't know what to think about it, honestly." I kissed Cain's mate mark and uttered, "I would rather not hire someone familiar with our past." Cain kissed me softly and stated, "Yeah, me too."

It was soon time for my meeting with Liam. I made it to the location on time. I wasn't surprised to see Trisha and Andrew at the table. Liam recognized me instantly. He approached me and led me to the table. Trisha greeted me and said, "It's nice to see you, Alex. How have you been?" I smiled and replied, "I'm doing good. Great to see you too, Trisha." Andrew grabbed my shoulder and uttered, "We already ordered some wine and appetizers, Alex. I hope you don't mind." Andrew looked at me in shock when I said, "I'm sorry. I don't drink." Liam called out to a waiter and uttered, "It's no problem. We can order some juice for you. Don't worry. Tonight's meal is on us." I didn't respond to that.

Trisha finished her wine and uttered, "I can still remember how you were always there for me, Alex. I'm sorry I couldn't do the same when you were in trouble." I sighed and uttered, "Let's not talk about the past." Liam chuckled and stated, "Right, enough about that. Let's brag about our lives and kids. I have missed all of you so much." Andrew patted my back and uttered, "Look at you, Alex. Who would have thought you would become the head enforcer one day." I could sense the malice in Andrew's words. Liam grabbed his mate's hand and said, "Watch it. We are not in a private setting here." A cold shiver ran down my spine when I heard Arthur say, "Yeah, I'm surprised as well. The guy who begged me to date him stands above us all now." I sighed while thinking, "Yeah. It's not going to end well." Liam looked at me in fear. The guy hadn't invited Arthur.

Hi guys, thank you for your patience. Have a great week. See you soon.
