After a long drive back to Hyderabad, Vrindha stepped into her home and immediately headed for the shower, hoping the warm water would wash away her swirling thoughts. For an hour, she stood beneath the cascading spray, lost in contemplation. Should she tell her family about her feelings for Krishna ? The thought sent a rush of heat through her and the fear of his rejection when she confesses her feelings sent an ache deep into her chest.

Once she finished, she wrapped herself in a comfortable dress that clung to her . The soft fabric is soothing against her skin. Sitting down at her vanity to dry her hair, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror, her heart is racing at the prospect of Krishna being so close. Would she ever find the courage to share her feelings ? Why she is unable to admit her feelings for him ?

Just as she started to gather her thoughts, the sharp sound of the doorbell sliced through the stillness of the house. Curiosity piqued, she tiptoed downstairs and peered through the peephole. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Krishna standing outside, a familiar silhouette that sent warmth flooding through her.

She quickly opened the door, and there he was, looking effortlessly handsome with Krithi standing beside him. She forgot to blink her eyes as she looked at him.

Krishna : Hey, I came to drop Krithi off.

Krishna said with his voice casual yet warm, his eyes are lingering on Vrindha a moment longer than necessary.

Krithi slipped inside with her presence brightening the room.

Krithi : I hope you don't mind me crashing for a bit, Vrindha ! I heard you might need some company. We got a call from Mr.Arjun.

Vrindha smiled as she is grateful for Krithi's upbeat energy but also feeling a little flustered under Krishna's gaze. Just then, Krishna turned to leave but the sky opened up, pouring down rain with a ferocity that rattled the windows.

Krithi : Looks like you're stuck now.

Krithi joked by glancing at the downpour.

Vrindha felt a flicker of hope and something more as she looked at Krishna.

Vrindha : You can stay, you know.

she suggested and her voice is soft but firm.

Vrindha : I mean, it's pouring outside. You shouldn't drive in this weather.

Krishna hesitated for a moment and his gaze is fixed on her, before nodding slowly and stepping back inside.

Krishna : Alright, if you insist. I'm not a stranger to this house anyway.

he said with a chuckle and the underlying tension is palpable as he crossed the threshold.

As he settled in, the familiarity of the space wrapped around him like a warm embrace. He was more attached to the home than Vrindha realized, having spent countless hours there with Arjun. But tonight, something felt different. The air crackled with unspoken words and Vrindha felt her pulse quicken.

Vrindha : Krithi, do you want some hot chocolate ?

she asked by moving into the kitchen , trying to shake off the heat building between her and Krishna.

Krithi : Sure ! That's much needed for me now.

As she prepared the drinks, she could sense him just a few feet away, his presence is intoxicating. He is searching for the mobile character that is plugged into the socket which is little away from the refrigerator. She bit her lips feeling the weight of the moment pressing in on her.

When she returned with steaming mugs, the sight of Krishna leaning casually against the wall and scrolling his mobile with his shirt slightly unbuttoned sent a thrill through her. She set the mugs on the table and caught his eye, the intensity in his gaze is sending shivers down her spine.

Krishna : Thanks Vrindha !

Krishna said with his voice low and smooth, the air is  thick with unacknowledged tension.

Krithi plopped down on the couch, oblivious to the charged atmosphere.

Krithi : Do you know something Vrindha ? Krishna woke me up and told that you are all alone as if you are a toddler. I don't know when these two boys will realise that they don't even have 50% of our fierceness.

Vrindha looked at Krishna who averted his gaze and walked towards the main-door to check if rain subdued.

Krishna : But you guys can sometimes get everything onto our nerves. Like you made me to convince that dean of yours.

Krithi : See Vrindha ! He reminded me about that for almost 100 times.

Vrindha's heart raced as she glanced at Krishna again, who was now watching her intently. She felt a surge of nerves, excitement, and an undeniable pull toward him. This evening could change everything. He is walking towards her. She don't know why her heart is racing as he walked towards her. He touched her cheek and a shiver ran down her spine.

Krishna : your bindi !

He placed the bindi on her forehead in between her eyebrows.

Vrindha : Oh !

As they settled into the living room, laughter filled the air, but underneath it all was an electric current that neither of them could ignore. When their eyes met, it felt as if the room had shrunk, leaving just the two of them in a world where everything else faded away.

Krithi : Should we play a game ?

Krithi suggested by breaking the moment.

Vrindha : Sure !

Vrindha replied and her voice is barely steady. But as they began to play, she could feel Krishna's lingering gaze on her, the heat of it igniting something deep within her. She sensed that he is trying to tell something to her but is unable to say anything. Would tonight be the moment she found the courage to share her truth, or would she risk losing the precious connection they already had ?

..............

How's the chapter ?

How we are going to deal with these 2 perplexed minds ?
